    You just gained a new subscriber. I keep hearing engage your core but I had no idea what "engage your core" meant. You are the only one that actually provided a simplistic explanation.

    As someone with ADHD I struggle very hard with understanding how to stretch correctly without over doing it or hurting myself, this video has literally made me fully understand how to tense my stomach without feeling like I'm gunna explode! Thank you so much now fixing my posture and and strengthening my core will actually be done right ❤

    thanks so much, the clean explanation is
    1) core= two part of the mucle below the belly
    2) activation with small potieror tilt

    thank you sir. idk why ive been crying about this, but i was. i have been working out all summer very confused what people in exercise videos mean when they say "engage your core." they never explained it and they never explained how important it was so i never bothered to look it up until now! at least i feel stronger in my abs now and it wasnt an entire waste. im still a little confused and worried that im doing it wrong, but thank you so much because i understand it a lot better now. i will keep working on it and test it out tomorrow when i go to the gym. thank you again!

    Does having a stronger core mean that it is easier to breathe while having them engaged? Or having a strong core doesn't matter as much in this case? Also very helpful video!

    When starting out and practicing, is it normal to still feel like it’s hard to breath? I try it and it is definitely better than what I was trying to do before your video. But should I be able to have a full conversation right off the bat? Thank you! This has already helped!

    • @fit2function528
      @fit2function528  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'm glad that this has helped! It won't make holding a convention instantly effortless, that is because your diaphragm has to get used to expanding your lung. As you keep training these muscles it will get easier and easier.

    No matter how many methods I try to learn to engage those core muscles, nothing works at all. As a pro French horn player, I've only learned how to engage the diaphragm muscle, and thus leaving all the other core muscles unattended for at least 20 years. Even just slightly activating thos dormant muscles brings me on the brink of apnea indirectly. I honestly am considering entering a Functional Rehab Center; hopefully I can resolve this lingering issue, otherwise a life of bedriddence awaits me...

  • @MyEvilCreeper

    Please correct me if I am wrong, so you don't have to directly squeeze the abs and breathe? All I have to do is realign the pelvis and that automatically squeezes them muscles?

    Breathe and brace for heavy lifting. Brace and breathe for the rest.

    Should pelvic floor / kegel muscles be engaged as part of constant core engagement?

    • @fit2function528
      @fit2function528  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes they all should be working together. As you get more control and endurance you will start to see where keeping those muscles engaged doesn't take much, and breathing becomes much easier.

    hello! Man I have a problem... Is it possible that your organs may be pushing your stomach out? If this is the case, will tightening your core muscles eventually bring all this back in. I don't have a lot of fat on top of my core muscles, I'm not a large girl. I thought I was bloated but im not, there's no baby, hernia, tumor etc. and this is the only thing I can think of. My stomach already pokes out but when i eat its baaad! Please advise :)

    • @preckle

      Yes it should do. I have a similar problem. I have separated abdominal muscles/diastisis rectis, look it up you my have it too.

    I hope you don't mind, but i'm wondering if that pelvic tilt is similar to what this guy is doing in this video: th-cam.com/video/X0HzXm3epAU/w-d-xo.html is it the same sort of thing? Great video too, thanks!
