I have a cockerpoo and a poodle cross, they are both raw fed. I’ve raw fed dogs for years, never carbs, unless you count a small piece of carrot each evening
My cockapoo had bad allergies to grains resulting in constant ear and skin infections. After watching a video from an animal nutritionist (who worked at a zoo) state that just because canines could eat an omnivorous diet, it didn't mean that it was really all that great for them. Grains and sugars invariably led to kidney problems if they constituted a significant portion of their diet. So, I switched my dog over to a primarily chicken, beef, and pork diet. His blood work was always great, he had lots of energy, he lost his extra weight, and his allergies went away. Commercial dog food is generally horrible for your dog.
@@sonalimahanta5276 Soybeans are actually very bad for you in significant quantities as they provide incomplete amino acids. Brain lesions are a long-term consequence, which is why they are frequently relegated to being animal feed. Legumes can generally be considered a near-perfect food, only needing little animal supplementation. Of course, nobody wants to restrict themselves to eating mostly beans if they can help it, and not just because of the all the farting. Also, vegetarians should not own pets if they feel the need to inflict their dietary idiocy upon cats and/or dogs.
I bought a whole ham to give my dog. Is that OK? I have a cockapoo, but I’ve been reading that it’s not healthy. I was going to break it down to give it to him every other day. Now I’m scared.

I give my cockerpoo just biscuits for breakfast, and for dinner i give him half a chicken breast. Is that optimal?
