Thanks forthe video. Sweet looking bike! The red/white paint really stands out! I had a black/silver 86 1100 Shadow. Good memories.

Very interesting. I have a beautiful stock '98 Aero and have often wondered if the Ace Tourer dual system would fit the bike, purely for the appeal of the tourer aesthetic. Nice blacked-out rims on your Ace by the way.

Pipes would mount up fine but the rack mounts are the issue. The aero curved fender mounts at the back are different.

So you put Aero or Sabre forks on the ACE. How did it all line up? Any issues?

Nope. I put some flavor of chrome fork covers on the ACE.. I don't remember what they were from. I had to remove some material from them so that at the bottom of the suspension travel they wouldn't clip the fender.

Hey boss, question for you… I’m between VT1100 ‘97 ACE and ‘98 Aero. The Aero exhaust sounds incredible IMO but the price difference in bikes is $1000. Could I put the stock ‘98 aero 2-to-1 exhaust onto the ‘97 ACE with ease? Do I need to rejet? Any other recommendations? Thanks for this video!!!

Yes. You could. I say that in the video and I had it on mine. If you have a choice between those guitars though I'd go for the Aero. 1) Very hard to find the Aero exhaust to put on your ace. 2) Although it's the same engine, it's a bigger feeling bike with better styling. Subtle but better in my opinion.

@@kefrh Thanks for your reply! Great news: was able to find a beautiful 98' Aero for the same price as the ACE I was looking (totally worth the 2 hour ride). My new (to me) Aero even has more bells and whistles than the ACE and rides great. Thanks for your input. Any other advice for owning these bikes? Tips, tricks, maintenance, etc.?

Yeah. I lucked out! A complete Aero exhaust on eBay one week and a tourer locally the next.
