Did you clean the camera while it was turned off or on? I heard that the camera needs to be turned on because of the IBIS…appreciate your help

@@alexanders.8134 Yes, I cleaned it while the camera was off. Never clean the sensor while the camera is on. There are some cameras that have automatic sensor covers that block you from cleaning (suck as my old camera the Canon R6), but you can go into the menu and select to clean manually and it should expose the sensor. Yes, those cameras will require you to keep the camera on.
The S5ii,S5iiX doesn’t have that sensor cover feature so it can be cleaned while the camera is off.

@@kerrymichaeldp thanks 🙏🏼 did the sensor move or wobble when you used the swab? I am just scared of damaging the IBIS.

@@alexanders.8134 It will not move out of place but it does slightly move as you’re cleaning. They are built with consideration for cleaning, so they are set in pretty strong. Just don’t try to clean it like you’re scrubbing a sticky pot and you’ll be fine.😂. It’s fairly easy and once you try it once, you’ll realize how much you overthought the process. That’s how I was my first time I tried it back when I had the Canon T6.
