- I’ve buzzed my hair MANY times over the years! I know what it’s like to buzz my hair and deal with all of the pros and cons of having a buzz cut! I’ve experienced the time and money savings; assumptions and judgements from others; and the freedom that comes with not having to style my hair daily. I’ve learned a lot about the ups and downs of having a buzz cut after going from long hair to buzz cut to long hair and back again. I share all of the pros and cons to consider before shaving your head.
Personally, I love a good buzz cut! However, a buzz cut isn’t the look that everyone wants to rock and that’s ok. There are many pros and cons to consider before shaving your head. I recommend thinking it though and considering the reasons to get a buzz cut as well as the reasons NOT to get a buzz cut before going through with it. My list of pros and cons of getting a buzz cut will help you to answer the question, “should I get a buzz cut?” Everyone will have a different perspective and reaction to getting a buzz cut. For me, it’s empowering and fun! I encourage you to do what you want with your hair whether it’s buzzing it all off, growing it down to your toes, or anything in between. Do what will make you happy! 😊

This is such helpful insight, thank you so much. I just went from having super long curly hair, to a short pixie. That was so liberating in itself that now I'm seriously considering buzzing it. Everyone has always said "I love your curls" which is so nice, but also, I relate to wanting my hair to be disconnected from my identity. Plus, maintaining coarse, curly hair is time and energy that I'd rather spend elsewhere. I'm inspired to go for it now! By the way, I totally say go for it with the buzz. Your eyes light up when you talk about it. :) Your hair now also looks fantastic so if it feels good, that's great, too.

I've been busy lately and was not able to watch this video until now. I'm so glad you made it. I wanted to ask but I thought it would be weird! I have a half buzz cut if that makes sense. Buzz on the side but about 6-in on the top. I love it and should have done it years ago!

I've never thought much about buzzing my hair and I probably wouldn't at my age. As for you, I think you should do whatever you feel like doing with your hair at this time. You've got a beautiful face with or without hair!

When I watched your buzz cut video I was shocked how stunning you looked! I don't like buzz cut on women in general but you have the perfect face and head shape for it and you looked strikingly beautiful. I wish I could do it but I don't have the proper face for it. Buzz it again!

I have been contemplating buzzing my hair with my 30th birthday coming up. I love the idea of shaving my head representing letting go of my twentjes. I found your channel because of your plant based content but randomly came across this video, and it feels like a sign from the universe. Maybe I’ll do it!

Buzz cuts are the best. Consider a razor shave at a barber shop. A warm lather head shave is really a cool experience.

Any comments that you looked or would look ugly from your significant other? Mine thinks I would look bad, and fat, and he would have a serious issue with it if I go ahead with a buzz cut.
No, my husband has always been really open to me doing whatever I want with my hair (and in life in general). I think buzz cuts are beautiful, but I understand that it's not the "norm" and it's not for everyone. It's your hair, so do what will make you happy.
