Town of Salem 2 has different factions in it.
The Coven: The Dreamweaver, Enchanter, Illusionist, Medusa, Conjuror, Jinx, Ritualist, Coven Leader, Hex Master, Witch, Necromancer, Poisoner, Potion Master, Voodoo Master and Wildling
The Town: Coroner, Investigator, Lookout, Psychic, Seer, Sheriff, Spy, Tracker, Deputy, Trickster, Veteran, Vigilante, Jailor, Mayor, Monarch, Prosecutor, Bodyguard, Cleric, Crusader, Trapper, Admirer and Amnesiac
The Neutral Apocalypse: Baker, Famine, Berserker, War, Plaguebearer, Pestilence, Soul Collector and Death
Neutral Evil: Executioner, Jester, Doomsayer, Pirate
Neutral Killing: Arsonist, Serial Killer, Shroud and Werewolf

Honestly necro arguably feels better purely because there are less useless roles in general, still not great imo but a lot better than tos 1 where so many roles are literally unusable or worthless
The fact that you can use stoned and Forged roles plus the ability to target themselves makes it way more enjoyable.
Its kinda why I hope they take the Coroner rework into consideration where they would be a one day RB to dead bodies, giving coroner a soft counter to a Necro.
Without useless roles, its a bit too freeing and gives Coven a bit too much killing power when one is in the game and with good co-ordination.
If they rework a few TI roles to not be the exact same thing (invest and sheriff) and they rework the spy to know who gets visited by coven, then that could make TI’s more valuable and kinda enjoyable

That day 1 was crazy- 3 of the 4 coven were relying on each other's fake claims and if even one of you died, Town (if smart) would've known you were all fake/highly suspect, though since you didn't it you seemed super confirmed. Definitely one of my favorite games thus far, super fun to watch.
Those are some of the strongest fake claims, and it's really good if no one calls you out on these high risk plays. They are the type you can only make with coven or maf, and they are so rewarding when done right
@@Krimson241 cleric may be a common fake claim, but claiming LO as an evil is ballsy if you are not a wildling.
@@ARMProducts1120 yes, which is why if you can scumread people or "confirm" one of you covens slightly safer but less trusted claims. Plus claiming to heal a fellow coven is different then a random doc claim. If you die then your coven gets outed, and if your other coven dies they might connect the dots back to you. In pipes case, this caused town to trust him completely and they let him kinda control things behind the scenes because of it.

@@ARMProducts1120 it was that fake claim Cleric and Mimyuu jumping to pretend they were attacked that got that shut down.
Switching claim to Cleric on the fly to support Mimyuu attacked and healed claim is excellent coven play. And the whole thing is bold enough and also believable enough that no one is really going to challenge it, hence you and Mimyuu just ended up being seen as pseudo-confirmed all game.
Mimyuu seems unusually agressive in this one.

So I was actually Emerald (the useless Crus) that game. The mayor going out early really was a big loss for town but I’m so used to seeing Necromancers claim retri but cleric is becoming a surprising role to easily fake. It sucks I got jailed N2 but if the jail or told me who they were maybe things could’ve been different, either way you had me fooled

If town was perceptive, they absolutely should've picked up on the fact that Pipe was Coven when he asked how 10 survived Witch.
The only way he'd ask that question is if he knew Witch had the book, which outs him as Coven, since people who get witched and killed can't confirm they were witched in their wills.
I think the only way Witch doesn’t get the book first is if there’s a CL. Or does HM get the book before Witch?
Edit: Fact checking myself using TOS Wiki. The Witch is behind CL, Wildling, Conjurer, Dusa, and Poisoner.
Since Conj didn’t hit jailor, they probably aren’t in the game. Neither is dusa without stones. There’s a confirmed witch and Voodoo Master by this point, so there are 2 unknown coven roles from 11 that make sense to be in the game. That’s 55 combinations, and witch has the book in 28 of those. Not damning either way, but Pipe should be sus for pushing based on that.
Edit 2: I doubt my sources are reliable, there’s a lot of conflicting information. It is possible witch may have one spot higher priority for the book which means that 28 increases to 36 possible coven role combinations out of 55 where witch has book.

@@randomguy6680 okay, so there’s one more role ahead of which. There’d then be 66 possible combinations instead of 55 and 28 of those still would have witch with the book. Still not a good accuse by pipe.
@@drewbediah8744 That doesn’t mean much. The accusation of being immune only applies if witch has the book which only coven knows for sure. A townie would only have enough information to deduce that witch has the book half or slightly less of the time.

both necro and ret feel really strong, the flexibility is insane.
Which is why I think Coroner shoud "RB" dead bodies as they investigate them. It would create counter play. Necro in most games if any killing role gets killed early gives coven a bit too much killing power.
Just imagine if the Witch was not hitting all immunes, just imagine how fast this game would have been over.
The fact that Pipe didn't realize that the reason that 3 didn't die to his necro shroud attack is because he shrouded the crusader who grants powerful defense to whoever they visit that night, and instead just marked 3 as "immune" is a funny lapse in judgement that makes me feel better about my own misplays.
No he didn’t shroud crus, he shrouded 13 the sheriff. 3 was the immune WW.
Everyone makes mistakes now and then especially with TOS2 being so new still

Mimyuu was kind of an ass to the Witch this game. The Witch just got unlucky and can't control it. It's not like they were intentionally trying to witch the jailed targets and not be able to get kills. It's fine if you say it once as a joke but to constantly be shitting on the Witch to something they can't control is very immature and dumb ngl.
Pipe lobbies are premade and everyone knows eachother, p sure mimyuus just bantering and is friends with Ada (the witch)

@@SirDubbs No that was Adagia and she wasnt doing it for clout she talked about it in a vid. Im pretty sure in the vid she actually said that she hated using her name in game BECAUSE she started posting her own videos and one of the reasons she stopped playing with Pipe in TOS1.

I had a funny game of All Any yesterday. I get PB and I'm not alone. I have a Berserker and a Baker with me. It wasn't an easy win but it wasn't to difficult either. The Berserker claimed Seer and sadly cause 8, who they "used", was WW who died N2 so they got hung day 3. We almost got the WW who was trying to claim vet who alerted N1 hung cause I claimed TP on them since I visited them N1 but sadly town was too sacred of a Jester to to follow through on the 2f1. Me & the baker made it to the end & won. Baker wasn't able to turn famine but I became pest & managed to win us the game.
Isn't NA unique? Meaning that there can only be one of the 4 horsemen in a game unless it's apocalypse mode. Or did they change that in a recent update?
I think they’ve changed that setting now in the latest update.

It is not. Many of its roles were given in altered form to Coven
Berserker can only attack on full moon nights, even when controlled, so that's why.

@@casperreininga3253 Witch didn't communicate with their team well enough nor even bothered helping with anything else like fake claiming or defending their teammates. Luck isn't an excuse here. You can play a game while having 0 kills and still be very impactful for the outcome of the game.
The necro got more kills than the coven with the book.
