I think it's good to see a Cyberpunk video without the numnber 2077 on it. I have nothing against the game but people act like this is the first time that the Cyberpunk genre appeared in history. By the way great music!

actually i've been asking myself for decades (ever since i started playing shadowrun) why gaming industry didn't use the SR or cyberpunk franchise. It was on its peak in the nineties but noone seemed to bother. And when i first saw TES-Morrowind back in the days, i understood even less why everyone was so ignorant about this genre. Frankly, i jizzed a little when i heard about CDPRs attempt.^^
In the early to late 2000's the genre had practically disappeared! I was desperate for more cyberpunk sounds and sights to consume... it's kind of weird to see it all becoming so huge and well-known now.
When I was a boy, my grandfather told me that he grew up in the country, away from any major cities. He watched as his world disappeared under concrete, lights, tall buildings, and large crowds. He saw the mountains shrink under the shadows as buildings merged into each other and growing bigger. Trees lost their colour and were removed to make room for long streets and interchanging highways. The stars and moon were outshined by unnatural lights. And the silence of an open landscape vanished as vehicles rushed down roads, people pushed and shoved, and the occasional sound of a fight broke out. As for my grandfather, he adapted as best as he could, refusing body modifications to keep him young and healthy. The last thing he said to me, before his time came was, "I've been both wild and tame in my life. I've seen the world change and watched the ones I love grow and move on. The world I lived in needed men like me. But, this new one doesn't. And I couldn't be happier with the hand I was dealt. Now, you go and be the man this world needs. Unusually hopeful soundtrack for you guys. Aurally describing the a post-apocalyptic wasteland being resettled and developed until a new bastion of urban civilization is erected. Rising from the bleak, blasted corpse of the old world, a successor fills the void only to grow decrepit and bloated itself. A nice narrative cycle. There is never a final end.
finally, this is one of the cyberpunk tracks ive been wanting. more ambience and cyberpunk. a lot of cyberpunk playlists are just synthwave. which is good dont get me wrong but i dont think it captures that true cyberpunk feeling
Totally agree. Synth weebs (yes, that term is a thing now) have ruined it. Cyberpunk is not about aggresive electronic music and synth while plastering the CP2077 logo. Deus Ex, Akira, Blade Runner, Ghost in the Shell, Judge Dredd, Syndicate (before ubisoft ruined it with their reboot)... there's more to the cyberpunk ambiance and genre.
Akira got me into Cyberpunk, ghost in the shell anime was great, altered carbon is great, blade runner both of them, we need a lot more cyberpunk stuff.

Seeing the titles Date expired and Disgarded children..I instantly thought of Roy Batty from Blade Runner..and how perfect Rutger Hauer was for that role and the bittersweet monologue at the end.. Don't understand why folks are arguing over a genre like Cyberpunk? It is what it is, be it a role playing game, video game, film, book, fan fiction, art, music. No need to get divided over it, just accept it, immerse yourself in it and enjoy the fruits of its labours. And before CP2077 came along, nearly everyone referenced Blade Runner as the 'go to' Cyberpunk ideal, which is no bad thing, just one aspect of the many faceted diamond that the Cyberpunk genre is. So chill out, peeps, we're all here for the love of the same thing and its many flavours.

Listening to this before a Shadowrun game. Cheers, chummer. At the time of this writing, Neuromancer has been pitched as a series on Apple TV. History has me doubtful, but here's hoping. I'd be willing to have a classic narrator throughout, just to get any more of that beautiful language that I can. It's hard to cram all of that into a two-hour movie, too. At least more people will read it.
A very moody and atmospheric soundtrack that invites you to dream. The artwork is fantastic too. I now have it as my desktop background. This is how I imagine a dystopian, futuristic cyberpunk city in which I would like to live. In Quantum - Dream is my favorite track from the mix.
In Quantum's latest release has really touched a new boundary in the dark ambient genre (Atleast that's what I think). Such a talented recruitment by CC. Sabled Sun is always one of my old favorites and Keosz should have had about a couple more tracks featured. (No Lesa Listvy, I havent forgotten about you)
Snow Crash made me love a more optimistic version of cyberpunk. Where the bad guy isn't a corporation or a government, but by a single person with a huge ego. It's usually indicated with a lot of sunlit days and neon nights. Where people are just going through some stuff and the rough patches are just background static. Two other franchises that touch this lighter version is the 80s version of Robocop and the Tekwar series. The Liquid Cool series also touch on this even though it's usually at night. It's more chill.
Nirvana. 1997 film starring Christopher Lambert. Multicultural cyberpunk themes galore. Has more in common with Trouble and Her Friends than Neuromancer in my mind despite all of them sharing the same DNA. More recently, Hardcore Henry. Surprisingly good writing in a distinctly cyberpunk near future.
Cryo Chamber has made a cyberpunk mix? This is it people, human civilization has reached its cultural peak. We can go extinct now, there's nothing left to achieve. I will probably listen to it on a loop for a few days. Thank you, sir.
Blade Runner will always be the premier cyberpunk setting for me. It should be dark, gritty and industrial with the neon illuminating the sorrow souls walking down the streets of megacities.
My favorite Cyberpunk type film is Upgrade, but the setting and style(though I’ve never seen it is Blade Runner). EDIT: I’ve watched both Blade Runner movies. Blade Runner 2049 is my favorite Cyberpunk film and is top tier Cyberpunk.

I want to mention here, Ghost in the Shell, the original animation works (two films and a two-season series ...There have been and a few more installments, more like, alternate verisons). Also the movie, DREDD 3D (2012). ...(Too bad they didn't make the much requested and anticipated sequel.)
I'm so gutted this game flopped. Had so much potential. I enjoyed it when I played it but it made the same mistake every game today does. Includes way too many side missions to engage with the actual story and the opening to 'Street kid' had me hooked but fell flat once it took me off the story path and left me to decide what mission I wanted to do next.
I always liked cyberpunk anime from the early 90s. Akira, Angel Cop, Cyber City Oedo, Battle Angel, Bubblegum Crisis. of course I grew up on Blade Runner and Robocop.
I doubt anyone has heard, and or played this video game, but... There was a video game on the Wii. It was called mercury meltdown revolution! It was a puzzle, motion control game, with little blobs of mercury. That game was totally awesome, and was a huge part of my childhood. It was very future-based and techo-cyberpunk. The sound-track was epic. This gives me those vibes. The nostalgia!
I was first introduced to the cyberpunk term with Nueromancer. It's amazing how we have come so close to what that novel proclaimed. It's just a matter of short time before we complete the transformation to jacked up cyberspace cowboys.
scary Alien Abduction Soundtrack. really makes you feel about aliens and UFOs, because as Alien Abduction, Cyberpunk Cities loves drill peoples head and add chip in brain to control them and ruin their minds.

I never liked snythwave, tbh. It's more retro than cyberpunk for me.
It's also more interesting than a lot of cyberpunk ambient videos on here, where they drag out one chord for 60 minutes.

I'm so gutted this game flopped. Had so much potential. I enjoyed it when I played it but it made the same mistake every game today does. Includes way too many side missions to engage with the actual story and the opening to 'Street kid' had me hooked but fell flat once it took me off the story path and left me to decide what mission I wanted to do next.

I always liked cyberpunk anime from the early 90s. Akira, Angel Cop, Cyber City Oedo, Battle Angel, Bubblegum Crisis. of course I grew up on Blade Runner and Robocop.
Those are the best ones! Casshan the Robot Hunter is another bleak future man can experience.
From Wasteland to Megacity... I like this title
I doubt anyone has heard, and or played this video game, but... There was a video game on the Wii. It was called mercury meltdown revolution! It was a puzzle, motion control game, with little blobs of mercury. That game was totally awesome, and was a huge part of my childhood. It was very future-based and techo-cyberpunk. The sound-track was epic. This gives me those vibes. The nostalgia!

I was first introduced to the cyberpunk term with Nueromancer. It's amazing how we have come so close to what that novel proclaimed. It's just a matter of short time before we complete the transformation to jacked up cyberspace cowboys.
