These XPAG engines would have been a great hot rod engine in England in the late forties to early sixties. It just needs an eight port Crossflow head, Shorrock supercharger, Wal Phillips fuel injection and headers. Shame nobody stuck one in a Ford Pop or Austin 7.
Plenty of them were blown back in the day, but it tended to be Shorrock or Wade blowers, which I'm pretty sure were Roots type anyway, so it makes sense - although they tended to be mounted lower down. The modern Eaton is a fitting tribute!
Hot ticket, I just installed a holley super sniper EFI closed loop on my 74' spitfire WOW starts and runs like a new car , no choke, pumping the peddle, just turn the key and your off. Plug and play Holley makes it simple
That's too bad. The TC pretty much gave birth to American sports cars as they evolved. TC's are a fantastic car to own and drive, they are as bare bones as you could ask for. A true driver's car.
Always had seen the late 60 and 70's MG's but first time I've seen an earlier year MG. Not being from England don't know the history of them or how long they been around.
That is one cool British Hot Rod.
Excellent job
I love this show, so many wonderful cars and people, I like Dennis too because he is so fun.
Thanks!

There is only one thing wrong with this TC. IT'S NOT in MY garage. 😂 Beautiful!
Never saw one Hot Rodded like this one before. 😎👍🇨🇦

Oh WOW!!!!!!!!!!! 👍👍👍
How do you feel about the EPA slowly taking away our car culture
They aren’t. It’s just evolving like it always has.

ONE OF THE BEST COLLECTOR CARS I HAVE EVER SEEN...OF ANY TYPE.
Never saw anything like that before.

Wow, very cool!
Now who gave this a thumbs down?! Really?!
6 now. guessing that they were guys whose girlfriends dumped them for a guy driving an MG.

The original TC was produced from 1945 to 1950
