And there's Trump the Defendant, who is probably just smart enough to follow his lawyers' advice and not willingly stick his neck in that noose. As cover, Trump the Politician tells the lie that Trump the Defendant is not being permitted to testify And he counts on his base not being able or willing to see through that lie.
