i am also a tangshang naga of tang clan from arunachal changlang district.we are the first tribe to be called as noga the original form of naga before britishers renamed it.
our documented history is from late 12th century in ahom buranjis but we have our oral folktale.
my grandfather proudly called himself as nogaa maanu when interacting with the plains people in ledo and margherita areas.
tangsa is from tang origin ,nocte is from nokte/nokta which means our own village people or our people. wancho/wangcho is the followers of wang/angh the rootword of lowang/luwang/lungwang which is the word for chief in all of tanghsang naga people.
many of our tangsa and nocte naga and wancho naga known as konyak are in assam,nagaland and in burma.
we are the only tribe in NEFA or arunachal and even in northeast who had guns and manufactured salt on our own.
and Tangshang is the largest and oldest naga tribes yet diverse because of the constant blood feuds of the past and village kingdom mindset.
we are the least researched group amongst the naga tribes linguistically and anthropologically and we are the only naga tribe the britishers couldn't subdue.
be proud of our own roots. we have one of if not the most interesting history and culture in whole of northeast.

We nagas were divided by forces without our consent and now we are spread in Myanmar, Manipur, Nagaland, Assam and Arunachal. Let's keep Myanmar issue for another day. But Manipur came into being only in 1970's and Arunachal only in 1980's. Nagas have put up memorandum to the British and Indian govt to be under one unit long before these states came into being. In other words, Naga history is a lot older than the formation of these states. So to say today, we can't let our states to be bifurcated by this and that do not make any sense.

I am from Arunachal Pradesh and Sir you are pronouncing correctly. Being an indigenous tribe of Arunachal, I never felt the above-mentioned tribe as Nagas. They were, are Arunachalee and will be. There are the consequences of developmental ignorance by the Central government and state government since Independence and statehood respectively. Now the innocent people of Arunachal will suffer and mainstream media will portray us as a land of Insurgency. There is no Insurgency group who were originated from Arunachal Pradesh, there is a high possibility by Chakmas and Hajong group.

Nagas/NSCN looted traditional and cultural ornaments and following customs law of TCL since 1990. TCL Arunachal Pradesh ka tha aur rahega.

To be honest there would certainly be unrest if you deny somebody's right. Nagas have remained with India and Nagas would love India forever even if Nagalim got separated from India. And also India should not have the feeling of loss or anything afterall the land wasn't theres since the beginning, it only got separated because of the British.

Nagas are not only in Arunachal, they are in Manipur, Nagaland, and the Nagas are in Myanmar as well.
The Nagas of different states live in their own respective states.

I'm from Nagaland n my Village name is Changlang too. We have many similarities n i believed before the border line was created we all lived together.
you are probably from northern/eastern nagaland. because basically we are same people. our dialects are similar,dress and culture and even the names and teunsang fronteir tract was bifurcated from nefa to join naga hills in the past. btw, i am from changlang district a tangsa naga.
