Whenever your wife/girlfriend tells you "I met up with him one LAST time to tell him it's over!" She's lying and is still meeting up to bump uglies. If it was truly over, she would either send it via text or just flat out ghost the guy.
The story is good, it grabbed me. However, the 2 characters are very fantasy. She thinking that she didn't commit betrayal despite all the dates and plans for a night and he with all his nervousness and lack of control to listen to what she had to say. Her temper interrupted the conversation twice at non-critical moments. The critical moment was the meeting in the parking lot where the reaction should have been stronger, he just made her see him, left and waited at home. Another fact is if the couple met to break up, why not discuss it in the cafeteria where they were? Why did she leave in the guy's car and stay out for 1:30 hours. Incoherent situations. Thanks for the post.
I’m up to the point she’s telling him about agreeing to meet him that Saturday. I don’t know if they had swx yet but what she doesn’t realize she’s already cheated and shown pure betrayal and disrespect to her husband. Actual intercourse is basically just icing on the cake
The fact that she let herself be enchanted by her friend's chatter shows that she has lost trust in her husband. She didn't even try to find evidence, she didn't even try to confront him and clarify the situation, she just gave up on her husband. This means that the love for her husband has vanished
I love how they're always like "It was just dinner." "we just kissed." or "It's just sex." like if he did any one of those things she would go nuclear.
It is not until the final minute the word "RESPECT" is used. Engaging in an emotional affair is disrespectful to your spouse. All the other pillars in a marriage are held in place by respect. Once respect is lost the footings of the marriage will finally crumble in on itself. It is so difficult to get people to understand this. Love DOES NOT conquer all. Love without respect is like going into battle with no ammo in the weapons.
@59:00 "Love Respect Fidelity are the three legs of the base of any marriage"--- That was perfectly stated. Love can't survive when the person is disrespected in this way. She killed it even before he found out. Powerful story! 👍👍👍👍🥇🥇
@@ricardocamara7116 Empathy is the ability to emotionally understand what other people feel. He did that.Towards the end of the story he knew she no longer loved him or respected him. It is best to leave a relationship that no longer has love or respect. He at least saved her from being someone's side piece and that is a good thing. She can now marry someone she can respect and love.
Cheaters look for an excuse because they don't want to face the guilt. She cheated and killed the marriage even before he caught her. She lied to him and herself because she didn't want to face the truth.
Boet could've saved his marriage but he was just too drained. The only saving grace was if she had said she loved him and needed him. But the Silly girl didn't.
30 minutes of starting her story and then stopping before finishing… only to find out it’s just the generic trope that she did in fact cheat repeatedly.
Hello, I'm one of the listeners who don't believe her stories, no way would the AP Philip be paying for all those lunches and not be intimate with her, she was lying.
While I think divorce may have been a bit too far, she is delusional if she thinks " dating" someone else is not cheating. Cheating comes in many forms. It does not need to be sexual. Giving your time to someone outside the marriage be it on the phone, lunch dates or just intimate walks in the park together it is all cheating. She should have confronted her husband immediately. He could have easily proved he never cheated. In this case I think with some MC they could have worked thru this situation. Nine years is a lot to just toss out. Of course she never did say that she loved him. She was too busy trying to explain her warped logic.
I understand his point of view, but far too many people greatly underestimate the ways people can be led into infidelity without realizing it's happening to them. Yes, the ideal is a partner who is never even tempted or always perfectly resists all temptation. But people are messy and imperfect. Some errors in judgment can be forgiven if things don't get to the point where forgiveness and repair is no longer possible.
That is true but in this case towards the end of the story you can see that she wanted to believe the lie because she wanted to cheat. Love - Respect- Fidelity are the three legs of the marriage base. She had already loss the love and respect and was working to kill fidelity.
This is why communication is key. I've always been on that "Don't the 304 hype train", but in this particular situation I don't think divorce was the best option. Clearly their communication had been off for a while, and although the wife was ultimately wrong in listening to her cheating best friend, the husband holds some responsibility in the degradation of his marriage too. The husband seems to be the type that runs from his problems, and the wife came off gullible, and afraid to face marital issues head on. I honestly believe these two could have gotten past this situation with marital counseling, and individual counseling, but unfortunately the husband couldn't get past what he obviously wasn't giving his wife to avoid this situation in the first place. Time.
He literally couldn’t have managed them any better, what do you mean? If you’re saying he has anger issues, that’s another conversation. Here, he was able to manage what his emotions did, which isn’t correct.

She went 3 months without no bed action but claims it was just an emotional affair? Lmao. And to stop it all, she called her AP to meet? 😂😂😂
This guy is dumb. All he had to do was wait a month, collect evidence, empty the bank accounts, shut down the credit cards... you know, the usual.
I’m up to the point she’s telling him about agreeing to meet him that Saturday. I don’t know if they had swx yet but what she doesn’t realize she’s already cheated and shown pure betrayal and disrespect to her husband. Actual intercourse is basically just icing on the cake
Exactly, she was nasty to her husband, and accused her husband so that she could get a guilt free pass.
She should have been honest she fell for her friends bullshit, and it cost her the marriage, all because of some cheating 304
She wanted to believe her friend. A rational person doesn't do this.
Butch Cassidy 😆. So I take it the protagonist is the Sundance Kid? 😆
I had the same thought.

If I were her, I would have given my side in the first 5 mins of him questioning me. Frustrating to listen to the halting conversation.
Exactly what I was thinking. For someone being desperate, she is long-winded as a hurricane.
You have to give it to him the writing was on the wall she just could not except it good story 👍👍
i think a lot of women have no idea of the hurt, brokenhearted, trust death, and humiliation happen all at once

Good point. I do agree with the author in that she had already killed respect and love. There was nothing left.
Divorce her, anyway. 😊
That is what he did, and it was the right thing to do. She cheated and lied to herself so that she could justify her actions.
I couldn't think rationally when it happened to me, even more than once 😊
He made the right decision 👏

I don't believe this phrase, because it leaves out empathy.

She believed he was cheating with absolutely no proof and even circumstantial evidence but says she knows him. Sure.
She also didn't see that she denied her husband. She cheated in every way short of PIV.
It took 1.5 hours to say "it's over" ? And she had to neet him for that? It takes one text with 2 words.
Play stupid games, OP did the right thing, she was emotionally cheating
Exactly EA is cheating bcz when you give your emotion to a AP you necescerly depreive your Spouse of the same plus his time

sin of adulty is fully committed when it is in the heart and mind the act coms after.
Very real love it
stupid or not, does it matter? she cheated and lied that is all that matters, end of story
I still thought it was a good story 😊
😎👍

Pete has anger management problems
He handled everything properly, not wanting to hear her gaslighting him and cutting her off is not anger issues. It’s common sense.
