Borrowing Brilliance from Biology: The Future of Design

This is an overview video about Bioinspired Design, a similar framework to biomimicry, where designers look to evolutionary adaptations in nature for inspiration. The key difference is that Bioinspired designs don't necessarily mimic the look of the thing they're inspired by.
This video supports GP's "BioInspired" unit, aimed at grades 9+. Students will identify a problem with an existing product and investigate biological functions to inspire a product redesign. Through independent research using AI bots and scholarly sources, students will gain a new perspective on engineering, biology, and our connection to living things. #PBL #projectbasedlearning #creativity
