Enjoying the watch mate, not just the meching but the banter too,I like to watch real people just like our Chris the struggler. Ow and where ya based just with you mentioning sunny scunny like. I'm in thorne just down the A18 and off the M180. Keep it up brother, loving it 👍
No is my favourite place on the planet man, my wife’s dad lived in nz, he’s sadly passed now and we haven’t been since but we will be back one day when the kids are older
Thanks for you comment and kind words, that’s wonderful to hear, follow up video to the defect found on this video will be uploaded Monday evening to see me actually repair some of the faults 😂 take it easy 💪🖤
Great video bud. I drive a R450 new gen and its interesting to see the underneath and all its parts. Love your attention to detail, I reckon your inspections are alot more thorough than the main dealers !! Reckon that shopping list for the Scania is going to be bloody expensive. Keep on with the videos 👌👍🤝
Thanks man, yeah I’m far too keen on inspections I’ll be honest I probably take an hour longer than your average man as I like to be thorough as I’m the man who has to go fix em if them break down 😂 keep em right whilst I have a nice warm workshop to play on 💪
Nice to see there is still someone about that not only knows what he is doing / looking for and has pride in doing the job ie incorect fitted brake chamber ( who else would have bothered ) Ref Scania wiper linkage problem, thats an old DAF /Seddon Atkingson problem of the 80s lol Just goes to show why do people pay an 40k premium for a SCANIA they need to shake there head first because they are no better than an IVECO. One thing this blog proves is that Highfield Transport operate Very well maintained and Safe vehicles, ( Not so if they where Main Stealer Maintained ) as most seem to inspect them without moveing them FACT, Another thing Highfield should be very prould of is there operation, and there Workshop Staff, Its nice to see this in this day and age, From a retired haulier ( Webbs Transport ) All the Very Best.
I shared your comment above on my instergram as I genuinely liked it, thanks so much for your observations, I’m in a unique position where the company allow me to run the workshop as I see fit and do not interfere as they can see I have the company’s needs In my best interests, i couldn’t agree more that scania are massively overrated now, My choice of truck is certainly a Volvo, all the best Brian 💪🔧
That 01 tank trailer was tidier underneath than most of the other trailers you work on, recent refurb methinks ? knock for knock no drop no couple ! secret scania fanboy with your scania pelmet in the van ? and i thought you were a volvo kinda guy, "dissapointed" ..crack on, cheers.
Yeah injector problems, nox sensors have needed software updates and a couple of engines Iv seen blow up! The 3 we have haven’t suffered from any of these faults as of yet but one of them has started to develop a diesel knock so that is being monitored 💪
Great video mate boss just bought a 540 xt scania tractor unit it's 21 plate ,being a digger driver but love trucks what does the xt stand for ?,also if you know or any subscribers know are all average speed cameras live or can you get a speed camera detecter to tell you if there live just sick of these bloody things they just installed them on a road to our yard it's a good road it was 60mph now it's 50 but it's a brilliant driving road in years gone by in my old subaru you could fly but now the do gooders are spoiling driving sorry to go on ,ariat boots are way to go expensive yes but I got a pair 3 years ago still going strong and I'm in shit every day ( 50ft flat she's a big gal) vid catching up on your videos mate
Hey up mate XT doesn’t actually stand for anything it’s the construction spec which in scanias words XT range is robust and built for tough work 😂 we can all pretend it stands for sorting like xtreaaaam terrain or sum thing cool 😂 Yeah you can get a scanner but I personally never chance the average speed ones they are usually live
Quick question about the oil you put into the retarder it looked very thick. Do you know what the specs or what type of oil it is scania seem to say atf for retarders
Thankyou man, appreciate that, I’m learning how this TH-cam works and obviously have no idea what people will actually find value in watching, that will come with time, I’m not sure to be honest Iv had it that long, it’s a vacuum too so ideal if you ever over fill a hydrolic tank or simlar, I’ll try and remeber to put more details on this weekends video 💪
@@TattoooedTech I’m a mechanic and to be honest I quite enjoy watching the day to day stuff of other mechanics, it sometimes can give you new ways on how to do things and so on, all you’re videos are good, I think it’s more about who is doing the video’s than what’s in the video’s sometimes. I’ll have a ganders on the internet see what I can find. 👍
Don't cut the connector off,,it's there for a reason ,,just de pin the connector and replace the burned pins,,,If you take the connector out of the equation then every time you need to replace the sensor you need to cut the wires and resolder a new one in,,,you were complaining about the bad wiring job that someone else did ,,then you do the same thing,,,
