You cannot be totally free while as a human, you can however chose where the little freedom you have is applied, yet while under a modern society the institutions that regulate social behavior (not so much the economical structure) are so big you really have no choice as you can't live outside system if there is nothing outside of the system.
Freedom is very often an empty buzzword that, like many other buzzwords from all over the political spectrum, is used to justify the status quo or justify atrocities in the pursuit of them.
Maybe freedom is the responsibility of learning our roots and living in accordance with nature? I know this question is much much more nuanced and complicated just an idea.
A professor I once had this to say about the reality vs. perception around Davis. He said when he was a student he went to a Communist Party of America rally to see her, and the only 5 people in the audience were him, his buddies, and the two FBI guys in the back. Even if there is a leaning to what's covered in general, the ideas that are covered aren't pushed in a way to be seen as positive. It shows their ideas and leaves it to you to decide if there was any good in their philosophy. I don't agree with a lot of ideas discussed in these videos but thinking about them and how they coincide with your own moral compass is a healthy exercise.
Personally, I saw this video to be very informative and educational, with little bias. I was not aware of Angela Davis in specific terms until this video, so thank you. Whatever the opinion of the people is, it is still important to acknowledge what we know about all kinds of philosophers and their school of thought in order to understand the world we live in today.

Therefore, it is important to only use violence when the world remains silent. Even so, it's hard to know how long you should really hold your breath for a world which may not care or know at all.
Violence is also not necessarily physical. The left's fault, I believe, is that there seems to be a lack of discussion around all the types of violence that can be exerted against a system.
