- The thought of Goku having a sister has been a very enduring theory in the Dragon Ball community. For the third short story for April Fool season, we explore the idea there being a THIRD sprog of Gine and Bardock. #DragonBall #WhatIf #DragonBallWhatIf #Raditz #Goku #Bardock
The video explores the concept of Goku having a sister in a short story. Set seven years after Bardock's first child is born, his wife gives birth to a girl named Jocha, whose power level is high. However, Jocha is kidnapped by Saiyan elites, mistreated, and isolated by other elite Saiyans during her training. Jocha eventually learns of the destruction of her home planet, including her family members. The story also touches upon the jealousy of Jocha's older brother, Raditz, towards her.

I can imagine that without Raditz to muddy things up and start one massive beef, Goku's introduction to the Saiyans would be a little more fruitful. I think Jocha could help him make a stronger connection to his roots and get him ready for Namek a little quicker.
But still... Rest in Peace, Raditz. If you weren't such a jealous pineapple, maybe we could have had a wholesome reunion.

When she finds out about the dragon balls, she may wish for them to come back
"Get him ready for Namek" ... Why would Namek be a thing this time?
The heroes only went there to wish back Piccolo and the others. Neither Piccolo or Kami had any interest in visiting the planet / their people.
Frieza only went there because he overheard on Vegeta/Nappa's scouters that the namekians have wish-granting balls.
That's the same reason Vegeta and Nappa went to Earth in the first place, thanks to Raditz.
With Raditz out of the picture and Jocha muting her mic. The Saiyan and Namek sagas have already been completely changed / erased.
Unless Masako decided to come up with some dumb reason why the usual DBZ plot plays out exactly the same way.... which kinda defeats the purpose of a what-if, if you ask me.
Jocha, Queen of Dreams. I love the reference to the story of Joseph with Raditz betraying her and getting her taken out of jealousy.

Goku having another sibling sounds neat. Imagine she’s traveling with Nappa and Vegeta too but decides to stay on earth and abandon her evil ways, like an opposite to raditz

Goku having a sister. I’ve always wanted to see a what if scenario where Goku had a sister and what type of relationship he would have with his sister. Now Gohan and Goten have a aunt. And Pan has a great aunt.
Hopefully, Goku's sister doesn't make the same mistakes as Raditz.
She seems more like Gine. Probably fight Vegeta for Goku
then bed time training :)
I just hope she gives Raditz a beating of a lifetime when she finds out her own brother sold her out to the elites

This is a What-If that I've always wanted to see! I'll definitely be voting on May 1st for this to become a full on story!
Yeah, this is already the winner for me. Cui's story feels like it doesn't really have anywhere to go, Oolong is somewhate interesting but feels very forced; Jocha is something new completely and that feels like it'd have legs past this little 2-part intro.
Imagine when Chi-Chi meet her sister in law and Gohan & Goten meeting their aunt.

I mean its always interesting how someone from the main cast could shape up the story.
She is a great inclusion into the story and I hope you will continue the story.
I like how Jocha is the opposite of Kakarot- Kakarot got his looks from his dad but the weak initial power level of Gine, and then Jocha got her looks from Gine and the surprisingly Elite-level power of Bardock.
I was on the fence about what to vote but I think I shall vote for this one, simply because I love it when there’s a new Main character to add to the list. If she ever becomes a Z-Fighter, her interactions with the rest of the gang will be pretty cool! And Goku will see her as the “cool and sweet big sis”, so thats always neat!

The fact that Raditz is no more and Jocha having no contact with her parents so she has no idea Kakarot was sent to Earth like Raditz did in the original. I wonder how Masako is going to have Jocha and Kakarot to meet.

Truth is Goku and Raditz could have had several older siblings that we don't know about because there's no way to know how old Bardock and gine actually were, people tend to assume that they were both young when Vegeta was destroyed but they actually could have both been in their sixties and we wouldn't have known, due to the way they age.
Interesting thought, and I guess that’s technically true about their ages.
What a trip! I can't wait for the next part. I can only imagine Raditz's face if he hears in HIFL that his sister has become a Super Saiyan. XD
This one, out of all the what ifs for this month has a lot of potential. I am immediately hooked and can't wait for part two this weekend. 🤩

Thanks! Jocha's resolve will be clear in Part 2. I've been wanting to do this scenario for YEARS and this April Fool campaign was the best chance to do so.

You have an excellent skill on telling these What-ifs, I hope this becomes a series someday like “What if Broly turned Good” even if it is a late April fools What if.
I can’t help imagine Goku learning not only he has a brother and a sister too. Also I bet things would be tense when Jocha learns about the truth on Raditz’s plot to get rid of her.
This has the potential to end up really dark really quickly, I must admit I'm pretty intrigued by it

I came up with this idea around the time Xenoverse 2 came out, she basically had a similar story to Supergirl but instead of being stuck in another dimension she ended up landing in the realm of the Kais
This is amazing!!! I can’t wait for the other parts :) Jocha is my new favorite, outside of Videl, Chichi, and her mom.
Calling it now this is the story that’s going to win and become a mainline What if. This seems way more interesting than any of the others so far.

Definitely an interesting take on this particular what-if. And, to be honest, it's the first time I've ever listened for more than two minutes before turning away from the sheer absurdity that tends to inject itself into it - the most common variety being, disturbingly, merely gender-flipping Raditz. You, however, have managed to once again take an absolutely absurd idea and turn it into something that not only has plausible merit, but is entertaining enough to make me want to see more. I'm looking forward to seeing how this tale continues.

I was legit going to add onto this title with "What if Goku had a brother and a sister" or "siblings" but then I remembered Raditz exist. I'm not even joking, I completely forgot he ever existed for a split second.

This one sounds extremely promising. Not only could this be a more level-headed and smarter Saiyan in the future should she join the Z-Figther, kinda like good boy Turles.
I like so far both a lot. But having a sister for Goku opens up so many doors for the Saiyan race. Based on Jocha swings as an adult, it could end up with more half-Saiyans, full-bloods, or no kids at all.
Imagen how Vegeta will react after the saiyan saga or after Goku turns SSJ towards Goku's sister. The same blood, the same latent power.
This is a cool what if Masako! I've always wondered what if Vegeta had a sister too! She shows up on Earth one day and she has kids, a couple around the same age as Bulla and Pan, that would probably drive Vegeta off the deep end, lol!

Yeah I think I'm definitely voting for this one. I'll have to see what next week's April Fool's what if is to make my final decision, but I wasn't really feeling the Cui or Oolong ones. They felt like too much of joke what ifs to continue longer than a short stint. This one feels like it has a lot of potential though.

I assume once she meets Goku, she would be happy to see her brother and things will go somewhat ok with the two. Goku will be confused and unsure if she’s an enemy but he would sense no evil in her.

"What if Goku had an older sister" is popular for the same reason 18 is popular - People love their pretty dragon ball girls.
So far this is my favorite by far, maybe it's because Bardock is involved in it and Bardock is my favorite but great story and I'm excited to see what you do for the second part of the story and what you do for the fourth story

Being the unapologetic Raditz fan I am, at first I was like “Raditz wouldn’t do this! He wouldn’t sell his own sister and lie to his own parent’s faces!”, but then I remembered his first appearance in canon when he tried to get his brother to commit genocide and even held his nephew as a hostage if he didn’t comply… yikes
