Someone at our yard got one of these people out. She was told her horse had a sore throat and wanted a chestnut Arab as a companion. Basically they can say anything and you can't prove them wrong.
I also know someone who claims to be a healer, yet all her animals have health issues and she herself has never worked a day in her life because of her various ailments!

omg this is hilarious!!! there used to be someone kind of like that who would come to the stables every morning with her kids to just pet the horses. but one time she was petting my horse that i just had put out to pasture a few hours ago. so went to say hi ,and when i approached, she was talking to her kids and saying stuff like: the horse feels the presence of fear. do not be fearful. (witch is true, in her defence) this horses spirit might grant a wish to you when he dies. me: i was like what the heck? this is my 8 year old horse you and you are like deciding his fate? but i didn't say anything. i just said hi and took him inside to tack up.
I feel you about the arabian halter situation! I have a bay arabian mare and I can't get a halter to fit her little dished head for the life of me! 😂😂😂
