I really would not be surprised if the whole "JP Morgan" theft segment was staged. This show was from the heyday of the manufactured drama of "reality" TV, and there was a lot of foreshadowing in the episode (the fortune cookie scene, Castro's soliloquy about "don't worry about the money", etc.) Either they filmed those after a legitimate con to add drama or the whole thing was staged.

@@STIDanny Here’s what I can tell you. It’s been a year obviously since I watched this so I barely remember the episode and in the the first 5 minutes I can tell you what I know for sure. 1. Blaupunkt was indeed a good brand back in the day but as you mentioned, sadly is now basically a Walmart cheap junk Chinese brand. 2. Razah was seen working at a car wash in downtown Brooklyn about 3 months ago. 3. I think that Lanzar was a bit too obscure to be bought out and pimped around like Blaupunkt so if they still are out there it’s very old new stock. I’d say if there were still flea markets in the NYC area that’s where you’d find them.
