Well revenge is still a crime but when revenge is extracted in proportionate manner and upto a reasonable manner (not using weapons like knives and guns) and when it is done to defend oneself or in defense of one's property or an indivisible (the girl) then it should be viewed as self defense. Those three individuals should not run but rather hire a good lawyer and surrender themselves.
