As a kid me and my siblings had to be the adult with an alcoholic mom and it is horrible. I wouldnt wish that on any kid.
Take her keys. Call the damn cops! What do you mean you don't know what to do if you tell her to not go pick up KIDS!! OMG lawd.
No! You do not make children control adults. Children cannot control alcoholics. They are both nuts.

Wake up grandma
If you been to rehab the you know you can not treat a daily disease sometimes. Go to your local AA as many meetings as you can make a day at first. Get a sponsor, work the steps on paper, then live what you learn. Drinking is just a symptom of your disease. The problem you are treating is "you" and remember the same woman will drink again! So get a real good sponsor. If she pisses you off with the truth you know she's the right one!

Jesus. "It wouldn't work!" You take those kids by the scruff of the neck, you put them in the house, and you do not let your drunk daughter near them. If she is going to insist on driving drunk with the kids in the car, you lock yourself in a room WITH THE KIDS and call the police.
Or would you rather be attending their funerals later because you didn't have the balls to stand up to your daughter when it mattered?

You people your lives are filled with excuses. She even shows up & tries to defend herself! In my country people drink but it's never an excuse. She needed to shut up on that show. She should be embarrassed
