Hi AlexLPD, yes, this liquid is just an alcohol which is used to remove any oils / grease / dirt from the welding area...

+Mike Bar-Gil Hi Mike, the hot air tool you have, it needs to have temperature control, and be able to reach up to at least 400 deg C . Only other issue is narrowing the airflow into a nozzle with a 5mm tubular outlet.. We can these 'standrad nozzles' .. see this instructional text that will help you see how the process works step by step..

How strong is the weld when complete would I also need to stitch a cover or would the weld be enough ?

it depends on the application.. Usually very strong. Provided correct welding temperatures and weld area cleanliness , it should be structurally strong

A section about 2" of my flat roof deck vinyl seam has come off, is there any kind of glue I can use to fill the void before the next snow fall? I don't have the hot seam welder. Thanks.

Hi Delboy, thanks for your comment. There may be a glue you can source. Depending on your location you may be best to talk to one of the Tarpaulin manufacturers to quiz them about what could be used. Providing you need is not structural there should be a solvent type resin you can use. Hope this helps.
