The weld is waterproof depending on the material and construction.
If you use thermoplastic coated fabric that is air and/or waterproof.
Also if you use membranes that are made with thermoplastics.

The foiler is mainly used for straight weld seams such as banners and lorry tarpaulins. It is not suitable for 3D applications.
