Being from Ohio I can verify. I travelled all over the state for H1 and H2. Half the time the tournaments didn’t even have a prize or I spent more in gas getting there. You also did see a good amount of Ohio players place well at the old like AGP and early MLG tournaments. Part of that reason is probably geographic (not hard to get to Chicago, Philly, Boston, etc), but I’d like to think it was mainly because of our competitive scene.
The ogres carried [StK] back in the day. I remember there best line up at the time I played being clockwork, strangepurple, and dem ogre boy being insanely difficult to beat after they had a few warm up games going. Cuz that was the only time my team came remotely close to ALMOST beating them on LAN. We couldn’t even muster the means to pull a W in our book. Boy do I miss my era of halo… 😢

It balances out the map. Much better for 1v1s. Makes it all less random.
I like radar for 1v1 and ffa. It actually helps you break down a bit easier where they are/arent…. Process of elimination.
