And as I sit here in 2020 amidst a world which is on fire and already full of so much sorrow, its is the sorrow of this beautiful song that even after all these years still has a way of pulling me apart whilst putting me back together. Timelessly perfect.
Such a beautiful song, this is up there with Cold Water and Greatest Bastard. Damien is an absolute genuis and Lisa was the most perfect partner for him.
I hadn't really paid attention to this song before. It's disarming and it pierces through your heart with every verse. You can feel the pain, grief and despair. Absolutely perfect and it does take you to deep and dark places in your mind and heart you thought you wouldn't go back to.

This is soooo sooo breathtaking (and tastefully painful to bear in one's soul), love the piano and cello combination too.. and the rawness he add to it.. his accents.. and the "do you feel like you belong?" at 5:21.. Whoever disliked this has probably gone through a really bad breakup and this made them consider giving up on life.
