Remember this when working with pvc pipe and gluing..always glue up the fitting first then the pipe.
The glue on the pipe will dry first everytime..

I always leave a couple of inches of pipe in this case , between the sleeve coupling and the PVC elbow . That way you can simply cut the pipe and say replace the PVC elbow with a T piece without having to unscrew/replace the PVC sleeve coupling . Quicker and less work.
