You wouldn't have had to deal with a rotational "bump" or "thunk" while turning right after the ISC install and alignment by chance, would you? I have barely a finger between the tire and coilovers, so I'm assuming I'll need wheel spacers as well.
Thank you for this video, there are not a lot of people who tune E60 and E61,so I really appreciate it and have subscribed. I really like Burger Motorsports also. What coilovers are those? They look like either Yellowspeed racing or ISC. Is your E61 an AWD?
Thank you! My car is awd, and yes those are ISC coilovers. I'm already making one year 10k miles review about these coilovers. Just need a few more sunny days :)
I have 235 at the front and 255 on the back, will I need wheel spacers? Also, is your kit the basic or the N1? Thank you for your channel though. very helpfull!
Thank you for your comment! It's hard to say by tire width if you would need spacers, because my car is xDrive, I have same size tires on all 4 wheels. I have N1 set on my car, springs are rated for street driving.
Made the decision the other day I need an e61. I’ve subscribed to your channel! I want to go with the style 166 wheels and I’m hoping I won’t need spacers for the flush look
hi, I installed h&r/eibach springs/struts on my e61 and am actually looking to go back to something closer to stock. It handles great but I miss all that damping that came on the stock suspension (which was too soft). It took about 3,000 miles to break them in fully, but I want to know how are you liking the isc now? What's the difference compared to stock?
Hello, in general, I am very happy with this setup. I took this car on a 2000 miles trip and it was great. The only difference is when I hit hot holes, car reacts very different. I go same (local streets) roads 90% of the time and remember very well it was much softer on stock suspension. For the price, I think ISC is a very great option for wagons. But only time will tell :)
Are these coilovers okay? I heard some bad things about them. Thinking about going with the KW V3s for my E61, but if I don't have to spend $2600 on coilovers I would prefer not to!
Hello, I did have same doubts about these coilovers. In my humble opinion, most negative reviews come from Honda/Subaru forums. Totally agree, spending over 2k on suspension upgrade is way too much. Now I am in my sixth month of having these coilovers, so far no issues.
EliteBimmers that's great to hear. If it doesn't feel any different from stock how is it an upgrade? I have a 2010 535 e61 and I want something slightly sportier than stock...like the rwd 535 sport suspension. Did you order the street comfort?
The front tyre gap on my e60 is 15mm and the rear wheel gap to fender is 20mm. The rears are further in. What spacers would be best 5mm front and 15or 20mm rear? I want the rears to have more poke. I want the rears to stick ot staggered compared to the fronts. Do I leave the 15mm gap at front and go for 15 or 20mm just on the rears? Let me know which ones you would go for to give it the desired look. I am on the original 17’s but lowered 30mm only. Please let me know
It is hard to advise without seeing the car in person. I am afraid to suggest something, not right. I usually use a straight plank or a construction level and a metric measuring tape to figure out what spacers my car needs. You can search TH-cam for how to measure which spacers you need. When buying spacers, make sure it’s hub-centric and designed for BMWs.
@@EliteBimmers my rear ones gap measures 20mm with the construction level. Would 20mm spacers bring it flush to the arch or would 15mm spacers do that? That’s what I am trying to figure out
Mine are flush with the fenders. I will look at what size are mine. I'm in a different state, away from my car - just don't remember exactly what is the size.
I found sizes of my spacers: 12mm front and 20mm rear. Here’s my video about it: th-cam.com/video/J7k4fWbTnC4/w-d-xo.html Those are stock wheels, and I bet it can use 25mm. On my current 19” Vossen CVT set up 20mm is more than enough.
@@EliteBimmers thank you for taking the time and effort I will go 20mm rear and 10 front hub centric I think that will be spot on after watching your video 😎. Lastly what J size are your stock rims? Mine are et 20 7.5j Thank you again!
quick question how do you adjust the rear damper on the car? I bought my e61 with kw v3 already installed. but I can't seem to find any adjustment knob around the shock, Is it on top the shock? Do i have to take apart the trunk trim to do so?
At this set up, I don't feel any difference. Only thing that reminds me about coilovers is the error message on idrive "Level control system malfunction!"
Hi there. Do you know what the front hub spigot size is? Mine is 12mm on my e60 and im struggling to find any 10mm spacers that fit. Did your 12mm only just fit?

I have a question. if I would mount 19-inch wheels 8j et20 on the front and 9.5j et32 on the rear would the technical characteristics of an e60 bmw be affected? Thank you in advance.
I'm not a mechanic or wheels specialist. But had very similar set up on my E60 (rear wheel drive) and had no issues. The only problem I had was on bumpy roads, but driving characteristics were pretty much the same. Also, I wanted to add, it depends on your application: track or mostly daily driving.
Eh-um, you could also use this as an opportunity to buy some new wheels! Delete this video and tell your wife, "Oh no honey, Now I must buy new wheels!"
One year/10k miles review video here:

i bought r18 265 50 tires and tomorrow will apply 20 mm and 15 mm spacers for my black e61 :) nice vid
This is amazing I have a e61 2006 530xi N52 and this is the exact channel I need, can't wait for more content!
Good job! Waiting for new videos. Good luck!
Perfect fit !!

You are welcome. The wheels I have are 18"x9" according to BMW nomenclature.
Helpful

I’m needing to decrease body roll. Thinking of doing the same as you. Is it really that much harsher?
Did you only use ISC coilovers in the front? What did you put in the rear? Did you delete the air suspension?
Yes, I have coilovers on all four wheels. This kit was air suspension delete option. Someone coded my car to be error free.
Does a 2007 to 2010 e61 rear full spring struts fit on a e61 wagon with air sride?

Yes, sir, you have to take apart plastics in the trunk.
How is the ride comfort compared to stock?
Comfort wise no change. But these tires, EXTREMECONTACT DWS 18', are very noisy comparing to stock ones.
What size rims are those?
18s with 245/40ZR-18 tires.
How does it ride?
At this set up, I don't feel any difference. Only thing that reminds me about coilovers is the error message on idrive "Level control system malfunction!"
Which part number is the one for both front and rear, and where did you get them?
I ordered the ICS system, spacers just like this. What ride height did you select?
Do you get rocking of the wheel back and forth just a lil bit?
How do your like your ISCs?

Andrei Viga should push them out a little more with a more aggressive offset
