An excellent video again! Regarding bistro Střecha, the prices llok good as does the food. But I find it strange that they employ former homeless and prisoners and promote veganism at the same time. I wonder have many of their employees that they so commendably help are vegans? I am afraid all these vegan establishments as well as the food festivals are socially exlusive - I doubt you can ever find older or poor customers there. That is the disadvantage of this otherwise admirable lifestyle from my point of view.
Hi and thank you 😀 Happy you liked this one too! Not sure I understand why you find it strange that they employ the people they employ while serving vegan food? It's all a good cause, so makes sense to me. But maybe I don't see what you're talking about. As for your question about older or poor customers...I do know that the restaurant has a system where you/I/customers can purchase a meal or a coffee for someone in need and I quite often see people eating there that appear to possibly/probably be in need. I hate to pass judgement but it does appear this is the case with some of the visitors I've seen there. I also do see quite a mix of ages eating there. Not sure what your definition of "older" is though. I think of all the vegan places in Prague, this one does not at all feel socially exclusive. There is a very different vibe at Střecha than your typical "trendy" vegan restaurant. As for their employees and whether or not they are vegan, I have no idea. 🙂
Where should I go for the next edition of Eating Vegan in Prague?
Forrest it will be my next stop to try all this cakes :)
Great! You'll be so happy after! 😊
damn that vegan "risek" looks damn good!
Haha, totally! That's why I get it every time I go there. 😆
I note your vids are a few years old, are all the cafes and restaurants you highlight still up and running ?
