At about 34:00, the way drone warfare is described sounds like mutually assured distraction - all over again. This makes me think, the future of regulating AI will be ad hoc. Big projects may require an assessment of AI impact to get approval from stakeholders, as defined by an AI act. The assessment will require a board of reviewer, at the cost of taxpayers unless the act comes with the establishment of a fund from the AI developers. This is similar to environmental regulation in general. However the AI regulations look in the future, developers should get ahead of it and start preparing to willingly pay-to-play, if they really care about the health and safety of other people.

I think BJJ is the right niche for him. MMA fans enjoy when a fighter is funny but that’s not gonna make you a superstar unless you’re also winning the important fights (and idk if Craig would be doing that if we look at the careers of other elite BJJ athletes who’ve crossed over). If Craig did MMA he’d probably be a lot like Jordan Leavitt-very funny and intelligent guy with a strong cult following but not a mainstream star

Craig is such a humble transparent human being. It’s hard to grab an angle on him and put him in a uncomfortable position because he’s so humble and truthful. Great conversation Lex.

In Short: Funny and Deep: War and CJI
Notes: This is a very fun/friendly conversation with someone who has a similar desire to understand, see, and know ukraine like lex. So the beginning there is really strong/interesting on that point. Good job from the editing guy of the pod to add a lot of good images of Craigs journey through ukraine. Then they get into the CJI idea, and the fun and intensity of some of the ideas. The funny collab with the big jui jitsu woman with the bet was great. I liked the less intense talk about fighting and jiu jitsu, and instead focus on bigger picture ideas/chat. Overall this is one of my favorite 'fighting' convos, and would have liked it even longer.

Nice video about a subject I really know nothing about. But I appreciate what your guest is trying to do…grow the sport by making it accessible to someone like me with a curiosity. Loved and miss Anthony B. He’s been an inspiration for me to by a van and travel solo to experience food, culture and life.

Love this idea!!! more views = more sponsors and more money to charge sponsors all the while gorwing hte sport infinitely. I've NEVER even thuoght to watch ju-jitsu, and yet here I am now itching to watch this event! The kid has brains. Seems like a bloody genuine type guy. Says it as it is, cares about the sport, wants to do it for the right reasons with the ultimate aim of it being better for everyone in the long run. Chapeau!!

26:00 thats correct - Ukrainians have different mentality. The Ukrainians living in the West volunteer to go back and defend Ukraine because they feel like defending their homeland is defending their home, they feel like men should defend their home and relatives
