Damn Vova, as I was learning how to muscle up my heart was broken today. I can't believe that one of the best jugglers in the world gave it all up for a software engineering job, even in the US. @@yudzin88 awww, I'm glad you enjoyed my juggling. I do like building software a lot, but I wouldn't say I "gave it all up" for it. My house has a room with tall ceilings, specifically so I can enjoy juggling every so often and I do. Not only have I not given up juggling for a software job, I haven't given up juggling at all. I gave up grinding tirelessly for months working on that move that noone's done before, not even being really sure if I'll ever get it. I gave up stressing out backstage wondering if the things I've done a million times in practice are going to go as smoothly on stage. I gave up having my entire self-worth defined by how well I can juggle. I'm really grateful to you and other jugglers enjoying my juggling, but now it's my turn to enjoy it :)
@@VovaGalchenko Thank you for replying Vova. I was just shocked that I did not even recognize grand master of juggling, my role model, someone I really admired. And I did not know why you stopped performing at such high level when you were so young and when you were at your peak. You don't have to justify your decisions to me, I'm nobody and nothing. You should absolutely do what makes you happy. All the best to you and your family.

I have so many old videos of yours on my hard drive, all phenomenal, the juggling perfection 👏. This brought back so many teenage memories. My personal favourite is your piano soundtrack 5 balls mills mess vid. I love how mills mess flows like a snake. I dedicated one full year just training that one trick every day to get 1 minute, because of your video, how beautiful your trick was executed.)
I know what you mean by the endless grind in your previous comment, many times I questioned whether to continue training daily or quit, and I was nowhere near such elite level. I can't imagine the hourage you spent training and even just maintaining all the tricks and skills. Sometimes a love hate relationship I'm sure😂. I'm so glad you found a way to still occasionally enjoy a juggling sesh at home even in adulthood.) No sport lasts forever, not in our peak form. It's good you maintained such a high base level of skill that you can now savour without training (I just saw the "newest" vid on your channel, you still got it man haha).

juggling is fun. I remember learning 3 balls just by playing with tangerines while bored. took me a few sessions, but one day I was just able to juggle. Crazy how fast you were able to get it with good instruction
Juggling with 3 tangerines must be harder since tangerines are not a perfect ball shape!

As a professional juggler, this video was awesome. I was surprised to see a juggling video (one of my passions) from a calisthenics TH-camr (calisthenics being one of my other passions). You've brought me so much enjoyment and knowledge for calisthenics, I'm happy that someone from the juggling community was able to bring you knowledge for juggling. Keep up the good work.

This is the crossover I didn't expect. I was really into juggling for the good part of a decade and built up to a pretty high level. I met Vova at juggling conventions and a friend and training partner of mine went to the WJF in Las Vegas.
Seeing this is such a trip down memory lane.
The juggler’s box analogy really helped me get the throws. The idea is to hold your hands out in the starting position and imagine a box raising up from your hands and joining together a bit above eye level (and later higher when you want to throw higher)
The idea is that you throw the ball from your left hand toward the right hand corner of the box - but not with enough force to reach the corner - the force is always about 2/3rds to get the ball to land where your hand is under the corner.
Then the miyagi-San wax on/wax off throws.
I’m not great, but a professional juggler took me from barely juggling two balls one handed to four balls/two handed somewhat proficiently using the juggler’s box analogy and a bit of practice.

@@GeekClimber you’ve got dust on your sensor not your lens. I’m not sure what camera you shoot with but it’s a fairly easy process to clean. It’s particularly obvious on some of the shots with sky. I can check for timestamps of examples if you’d like, you can also take some misfocused photos of an illuminated white wall stopped down and the spots will be very obvious. Always enjoy your content, keep it up!

I remember a sunny summer day in my childhood, when I was at my grandparents' house. That day I learnt juggling by myself, using 3 pairs of rolled socks.
I too started juggling socks as a kid when I had one and a half pair that needed to be picked up and put into the hamper. I started with just the shower pattern as that was the only pattern I could imagine at the time. It wasn't until later when I went to the library and checked out a book on juggling that I learned there are other patterns like cascade and fountain. I was hooked and 47 years later I am still juggling.

Bruh it took me 3 days traing like a madman 2 hours a day just to do a flash😭 I also had very heavy and uneven sized juggling balls 😭, I was sweating bullets it was like a full gym workout. You're awesome for mastering this so fast. But also props to being teached directly by a world champ. I'm glad I could finally do it. As a kid I never had the patience to learn and practice.

4 balls is easier, but it requires more practice. But if you understand that the left and right balls don't mix you're good to go. It took me like 15 minutes.
