I'm recently divorced...well actually it's been a year. My husband is dating someone else but from time to time he'll text me and say if I get my mind right and start working on myself he and I would eventually get back together. My husband cheated on me with his ex wife during a time I was dealing with some childhood issues, surgery and sudden loss of my best friend. So when I found out he was with his ex I made some seriously bad decisions(drinking) and my actions were HORRIBLE!! I am embarrassed and ashamed because I did it all very publicly. I found myself having to live with my mom, no car nor job...and alcoholism and 40 pounds heavier. I'm teaching again now😊 and have a nice rental home but can't seem to get out of this funk nor can I seem to stop holding on to my husband and his promises of another future together. Thank you for sharing your story. You're actually one of few I've been able to resonate with.
Hi Deidra, firstly well done on getting back in to teaching! What I'm hearing is your ex husband is dating someone after divorcing you for his ex wife and he's still demanding you get your act together so he may consider getting back with you again? If I'm hearing you correctly then why would you allow him to have that control over you which is clearly harming you immensely. Write down what you really want and start focussing on that. Your best days are ahead! MW.
If you’re holding on to your ex that’s the first mistake you’re committing. Your ex has moved on, dating, doing etc do you think he truly cares about you or himself? Don’t mean to sound rude, but you need to wake up... let go! I know it’s hard because your love never dies for an individual but your love shouldn’t die for yourself. You will waste time, energy, life by waiting on someone else..
