One of my favorite songs ever, and you both seem to have captured the essence of it in this beautiful rendition.

good job! RHCP suits you :D
Thanks buddy!
what mic do you use for recording acoustic guitars?
We usually use a single mic between us both for singing and guitars; typically a Rode NT1A or Rode Videomic stereo. Using just the one mic can sound a little muddy sometimes but I don't have several mics of the same quality to use between us. Occasionally, I record the guitar separately with the NT1A or plug the guitar directly into a mixer if I really want a cleaner, sharper sound. For example, on my 'Pray Your Gods' cover, the acoustic guitar is going straight into the mixer.
awesome job! What chords r u using?
th-cam.com/video/5YkTJhB3HSY/w-d-xo.html hey, I made a tutorial on their version. Follow the quicklinks in the description to get there.
I love this cover, you guys are amazing! But I'm wondering if you're looking at a monitor or an adorable puppy you're in love with. Lol
Jennifer Derschan Thanks! Oh, obviously an adorable puppy haha! A while back, we had a tendency to bring up the lyrics of the song (even like this song when we know it well) but we always seemed to stare at them a lot, so we’ve tried to tone it down or avoid using lyrics at all ever since haha.
I was in an acoustic duo and I can almost guarantee theyre looking at lyrics even though they will know them.
The parts they’re playing are tricky in passages and it’s good to have the lyrics there as a ‘cruise control’ for your mind as we used to call it
O maluco faz segunda voz brincando
Fuck you guys are insane!!
If you're reading the lyrics, shouldn't they be near the camera so you're looking at the camera more? Sorry to be a pest, just trying to help since you two have a great sound.
Haha, you're right. I didn't realise how obvious it was until I got to the editing stage, by which time it was too late to redo it. We've since tried to avoid reading lyrics, or at least making it less obvious
@@OurJuneLions Hey, if you're going to make a vid you should memorize the lyrics first:)
@@kmacdc4 I know, we have since addressed this. ☺️ The funny thing is that we actually knew the lyrics to all these songs and just had them up for a backup - but we ended up reading from them anyway, just because they were there. Anyway, no more reading from lyrics haha.
@@OurJuneLions Hey, It sounded great though, although it always looks more professional without reading the lyrics.
