I don't like this at all. Listen to Dinu Lipatti (so much better, IMHO)! :D Lipatti makes her sound like a "school girl"! :P There is an other "problem" I have with Maria João Pires: IMHO she has nothing new to say. I really don't know why she recorded this beautiful sonata by Mozart? Is it only to have her recording? (I know that's harsh and rude - but this is my honest opinion!) *sigh*

Isn't it also possible to respect my opinion without sharing it? I stay by my comment. Too many pianists record pieces where they have nothing new to say (only to have their own recordings). On the other hand TH-cam prevents artist like Krystian Zimerman to record Chopin's Scherzi (because DG "Deutsche Grammophon" fears they cannot sell enough copies). Zimerman said that he felt he has lost this fight against TH-cam! *What a pity!*

@ALFONSO TALAVERA Maybe there are much better interpretations of this sonata out ... E.g. the one and only Dinu Lipatti (best IMHO) or Christoph Eschenbach. (To name only two.) ;)

Stupenda sonata,magnificamente eseguita.Memorabile il primo mvnto.Una sonata che anticipa l'età romantica,come nelle migliori composizioni di Mozart.

Used to own this CD back in the days. Perfection from start to finish.

冷徹で、それでいて優しいその音色は、蠱惑的な感情を鳴らし。
モーツァルトのピアノ曲は、音が玉の様に磨かれていますね。
素直に明るくて玲瓏とした、霊の光に満ちた曲です。
頂点の様に賛美されながらも、実はまだ未だ先がある事を、彼は分かっていたのです。
その更に上を目指して、黙々と勉強していたのでしょうね。

Funny, her tempos are pretty similar to those of Rafał Blechacz, but Pires is more soulful. I don't know how to explain it.
