I love to shower at night before bed, it allows me to wash the grime of the day away and I’m always clean in my bed, I hate the idea of getting into bed not fresh, it also helps me relax too… I’d like to add that I have a quick strip wash in the morning, including face, underarms and the other essential places if you know what I mean!!! 😂I had 3 kids sharing a bathroom (2 boys). I used to deep clean 2X weekly w/daily wipe downs. When they became old enough, daily wipe downs became their assigned chore, especially in/around the toilet; There's nothing worse than a dirty, pissy smelling bathroom! 😂😝

I having been using all white washcloths and towels for years. For face, it allows less bacteria. Also, I use those wash cloths for hand towels and change once or twice a day. However I do use cute Hand towels for for guest bathroom. We have an RV and I use white in there also.
I shower at night during work week. I work from home so it gives a bit more sleep time. On weekends its in am. Ever since I started rinsing my tub and in tub mat after showers I find I can go a bit longer between cleanings. Toilet area once a week and sink as needed. Always rinse after use and wipe splashes on mirror. Habits I started after lockdown and watching cleaning videos.
I live alone in a studio and clean the bathroom at least once a week. I spritz my big mirror once a week and spot clean it during the week, I use a bit of rubbing alcohol on the mirror if there are any stubborn stains on the mirror. I clean the toilet daily. I notice when there's a smell in my bathroom, it's usually from the toilet. I once had a friend come over, use my bathroom and say "That's how a bathroom is supposed to smell" I was so proud of myself
I shower in the PM. I work outside all day 6am-6pm. I'm a school bus driver for special needs kids. I also shower at lunch if i have a sick student so i clean my bathroom daily! Germs are gross! And make ya sick soooo. Oh, i did get up and clean while watching your video too!lol❤😂

I have 4 bathrooms in my home. I don't mind cleaning the bathrooms but my biggest dread is the outside of the toilet. All those lint build up is frustrating to clean out. some added points, modern showers forbid squeegees and any acid on either the base or glass/other walls, and fancy plastic toilet seats and counters forbid any kind of acid also, just soap and water.. plus here in NZ, we also have lino or vinyl very commonly in our bathroom(the plus is much warmer on your tootsies) :) :)PS I love watching your vids, I learn so much thank you
Great vlog as always Melissa. I keep a microfibre cloth in the bathroom so I can quickly wipe around the sink area after I have finished. Each month I clean the shower grout with a toothbrush and bleach spray. It stops any mould / pink mildew building up. I also clean the shower trap drain removing any hair and then put drain cleaner down the pipes. I also do this to the sink plugs. Leave the bathroom how you find it is my motto. I never leave home without checking the toilets. A little daily maintenance which takes a few minutes is worth it.
i find cleaning wooden flooring it helps to just mop with water only 3 times let it dry and clean again, floors get dull with products so cleaning with just water now and again makes your floor shine again. Always great to hear from professionals like clean my space highly recommended chanel for tips to keep your home as clean as possible
I do a basic Clean every day toilet and sink. I do a thorough clean twice weekly. Filling the sink with bleach and water. I wipe down everything all the tiles, bath, toilet, sink, skirting boards, I then polish with a microfiber cloth then I clean the the mirrors and the bath screen. I mop everyday in the evening.
Great question about the AM vs. PM showering! I’ve always wondered what’s the right thing to do :). My reality is: when I’m single, I shower in the morning to be fresh for the day and the people I meet, but when I’m in relationship I just CANNOT go to bed with a person all smelly and dirty 🙃, so I do a PM shower, too.
I prefer to shower in the AM but sometimes if I’m not going to have enough time when I wake up, I’ll shower in the PM 🚿. Thanks for all your videos. They have great content👍
I shower when I wake up, but I do see the benefits of showering before bed. I'm a procrastinator, so waking up basically already "clean" would help morning routines. Showering before bed would help keep bedding cleaner.
Growing up, we were supposed to shower both in the am and pm. Now I'm more pm since that's when you clean off all the dirt and sweat of the day before getting in bed.

I shower in the morning, I'm extra sluggish through the day if I dont kick start it with a cool shower. As for bathroom cleaning, my house has one bathroom for 2 adults and 2 teenagers so it's a busy space and they are not tidy people. I clean the tub,shower,floors and shelves once/week and the sink & toilet get done 3-4 times/week. As for the shower curtain, I just use a liner and it gets replaced every 6-8 weeks and the bathtub caulking needs to be redone every 8-10 months.

We don’t have a fan in our bathroom. It’s so annoying. We have a dehumidifier which we wheel in after a shower but mould is such a problem. I don’t think the previous owners cared about not having a fan and the mould is just embedded everywhere. The biggest chore I find is cleaning the shower hose and all the little knooks and crannies on the shower bifold door. If our next house has a shower cubicle i will be demolishing it 😂

My husband showers in the day except the day we wash sheets (Mondays). He likes to be totally clean when sleeping on the newly washed sheets. I try to clean the bathrooms (because there's more one) at least once a week. I can't leave the bathrooms for a week without cleaning, it gets so messy. For showering, I shower at night. I do it so I can get rid of the crap of the day and I feel more relaxed for the evening.
I shower twice a day 😂 when I wake up ( to feel refreshed) and in the evening to get rid of the ickyness of the day (office, gym, commute, Uber etc) and cuz I live in Brazil.

I like a bath every time my chilling and destressing me time maintains my sanity and is a who lot less messy than getting waterband muck spread of my tiles and glass really high levels of minerals in our water which makes it more work to clean, water softeners are good but expensive to install and run saves on laundry products though. Bubbles in the bath prevent fun and go well with a glass of wine, brandy or tea just to prove I use my bath for hot water therapy. My little bit of everyday luxury. KAYGO is the name of the system clean as you go. Great video, I'm doing it about right but you gave a couple of tips which I shall use. Thank you for all your helpful advice it helps me be more motivated you say short bursts are best with a blitz now and then. I keep a dollar store room in my bathroom and I take the head off to do my bathtub and shower walls and I change out my cheap shower curtain, Or wash it with some towels and I leave the fan on so everything dries quickly
Shower in the evenings. Have done so for most of my life. Like to wash away the day and be clean in my bed. And relax! I hate mornings and there's no way i could manage a shower then. Too much else going on.
I dont like to go to bed in my own filth. But i also like to shower in the morning to get my circulation going. So most always at night and a quick one in the morning if i dont think my skin is too dry.
I adjust my showering based on the weather. If it is warm I like mornings but if it is cold weather I shower the night befire so I am ready to go out and not wet. I like being spontaneous with my cleaning too. It is easier just to balamce routines with how the weather is doing. I feel better if I do not follow a rigid routine with it like ir is going to be needing it, I find it is more fun to act as if it is always clean. Ha Ha.😂
I've noticed in bathroom cleaning/organizing videos that everyone keeps their counters clear and puts toothbrushes in the drawer. This has always puzzled me. I don't want something that's been in someone else's mouth cozying up to a toothbrush that's going in MY mouth. It doesn't seem terribly hygienic. Also how can toothbrushes dry if their closed up in a drawer? Isn't this creating a breeding ground for bacteria? Just curious.
There are only 2 of us but I wipe the wash basin, mirror and actual toilet every day. Hubby does the shower about once a week. We both shower in the morning.
I can’t be outside then come home, change into pajamas and get in my bed. I have to shower to get the day off me and keep my sheets as clean as possible.

I deep clean bathroom on Mondays. Towel changes and counter wipes as needed. Cleaning is easier when done on a schedule.

I changed mine out for a toilet bowl that’s relatively smooth on the outside none of those dumb curved pipe looking things.

Toss your plastic liner in the washing machine & dryer! Good as new & saves money!
I have tried multiple methods to clean them and as soon as they start to go pink, they will never come clean. The staining etches the plastic.

Cleaning the sinks and toilets with vinegar and water daily really helps the room stay clean. Tasks cleaning daily is so good too.

Bubbles in the bath prevent fun and go well with a glass of wine, brandy or tea just to prove I use my bath for hot water therapy. My little bit of everyday luxury. Great video, I'm doing it about right but you gave a couple of tips which I shall use. Thank you for all your helpful advice it helps me be more motivated you say short bursts are best with a blitz now and then. I love my new very pretty bathroom and although very rarely want to do other cleaning this room is lovely so keeping it way makes me happy.
I am a night time shower person. I must get rid of that daily dirt before crawling into bed!

Pink stuff is gross biofilm.
the pink stuff is bacteria called Serratia marcescens
I shower in the morning. Except the days I mow, then I shower later in the afternoon when I finish yard work.
I keep a dollar store room in my bathroom and I take the head off to do my bathtub and shower walls and I change out my cheap shower curtain, Or wash it with some towels and I leave the fan on so everything dries quickly
I shower in the morning if I feel gross (I sometimes get night sweats) or I’ll shower at night if I didn’t shower I the morning

Shower in the evenings. Have done so for most of my life. Like to wash away the day and be clean in my bed. And relax! I hate mornings and there's no way i could manage a shower then. Too much else going on.

I dont like to go to bed in my own filth. But i also like to shower in the morning to get my circulation going. So most always at night and a quick one in the morning if i dont think my skin is too dry.

I adjust my showering based on the weather. If it is warm I like mornings but if it is cold weather I shower the night befire so I am ready to go out and not wet. I like being spontaneous with my cleaning too. It is easier just to balamce routines with how the weather is doing. I feel better if I do not follow a rigid routine with it like ir is going to be needing it, I find it is more fun to act as if it is always clean. Ha Ha.😂
With family now working from home the bathroom is now being used throughout the day. I’m cleaning the bathroom everytime I go to use it myself 😭
I've noticed in bathroom cleaning/organizing videos that everyone keeps their counters clear and puts toothbrushes in the drawer. This has always puzzled me. I don't want something that's been in someone else's mouth cozying up to a toothbrush that's going in MY mouth. It doesn't seem terribly hygienic. Also how can toothbrushes dry if their closed up in a drawer? Isn't this creating a breeding ground for bacteria? Just curious.

I shower in the evening, but I’ve historically exercised in the evening. After school then after work. Team sports will do that to you

There are only 2 of us but I wipe the wash basin, mirror and actual toilet every day. Hubby does the shower about once a week. We both shower in the morning.

I can’t be outside then come home, change into pajamas and get in my bed. I have to shower to get the day off me and keep my sheets as clean as possible.
I like to shower at night but only if my hair can dry before bed. For that reason I usually shower in the morning lol
So if you only shower in the morning, then you’re super clean at Bedtime 🤔 😂
I’m willing to take out my tub “that I never use“ and replace it with a walk-in shower just so I don’t have to squeegee it after every shower
That's so great more plastic as if the world doesn't have enough plastic waste. Don't buy spray bottles reuse if possible or yes buy glass bottles
