  • Welcome back to our workshop, where today we're restoring another beautiful Teac V-8030s cassette deck. This one's a real gem, with its classic black finish and pristine heads. We'll be giving it the care it deserves - recapping the playback amplifier and replacing the audio switches with superior Texas Instruments CD4066BE parts. We're aiming for optimum performance and longevity. Don't miss this journey of restoration! A good machine! with nice really professional main press buttons. In fact it is a studio machine. I've worked with several when I was a video editor in the public broadcasting television (RTP). Almost all of the video and (some) audio equipment had their operating buttons like those! Thanks for the video.

Very nice video, I’m starting the restoration of my 8030s.
A lot of advices in your videos 😊
I would like to ask you why you always change the two switches IC? Is there is a problem with them ?
    Thank you for all

I have a TEAC deck from the 70s. It looks good, and it plays but it cuts in and out on both channels. I've opened it up but I have no idea what I'm looking at in there.

Good afternoon, on my device sometimes the cassette tray lid does not close the first time, can you tell me why? Thank you.

Свип сигнал вы сами сделали? Или готовый купили?

This deck you have, is this a Japanese 100V version? If so, did you had to change the transformer settings?

I realise once and after that hate every 6030 or 8030 that have sticky peak hold on right channel on all models...or is sticky or not engage it at all in some situations.
