    Bought a 2002 NB for 8k a week and a half ago, 72k miles. Very well taken care of and zero rust. While I was looking for something more in the 5k range, this one was too good to pass up for how clean and low mileage it was.

      same for me, I bought a NB2 2003 for 4800$usd, turbo, new paint, 0 rust 77k mile, the guy selling is a friend of mine, it was missing a tune, but its getting a tune in april

    No drop in used car prices in Europe at the moment, more the opposite. The exception is EV’s. Prices (notably in the UK) have dropped through the floor as the market is saturated with EV’s coming off 3 year lease plans (which is how most people in the UK finance them - often through company car plans).

    Just bought a ‘96 miata today! 5500 dollars. It’s got 70k miles on the engine and 170k on the body. It’s in pretty okay shape cosmetically but runs like a dream! Not sure if it’s a good deal yet but only time will tell haha. Looking forward to putting some work into it

    Thinking about getting a Miata. Trying to see what's out there.

  • @StingrayOfficial
    @StingrayOfficial ปีที่แล้ว +4

    The Miata market in my area is so strange. Utah has serious winters yet Miata prices might be the highest in the U.S. But if you travel to AZ/NM/NV/CA the prices drop drastically. I am not sure if this is due to certain type of people that live here thinking they poop solid gold or the fact they have 10 kids each and they all want Miatas, but it's annoying. Or maybe that Miatas are just more common in those other states? I saved about 3k on my Miata just by traveling out of state to get one, and now I could sell mine for about $4k above what I paid if I list it here. It's wild.

    • @CashedOutCars
      @CashedOutCars  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Looks like it’s time to start buying Miata’s and bringing them to your state! I definitely agree that rust issues and location has a good bit to do with prices. Here in CT you do have to be careful to get clean ones

    • @StingrayOfficial
      @StingrayOfficial ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CashedOutCars That's another thing adding to the strangeness. We use salt on our roads here and have rust issues as well.

    Just stopping by to say hi. I never got the turbo installed in my Miata and I sold it for a STi lmao. I work in insurance and car prices are stabilizing across the board due to supply finally meeting demand. A lot of dealerships are sitting on pricy inventory and those who haven't cut their losses months ago are sitting on tons of negative equity. People who bought after the pandemic were absolutely blasted, paying well above market value and in most cases, are losing in both interest and depreciation without any equity.

    The silver Miata with the black bumper was not legit, I jumped on it when I saw it, but when I got there the car was decent, but he lied about the title being in his name and could not put me in contact with the real owner. Also, it was cool seeing you at the autoX and Michigan.

    • @CashedOutCars
      @CashedOutCars  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree location is definitely big. I’m in CT, I mostly look in New England but also look nationwide for fun! Do cars seem to be moving at those high prices? Up here cars listed high are taking a very long time to sell and I’m assuming they’re negotiated down a bit

      @@CashedOutCars agree! Love the the channel by the way! I’m in GA and I would say that prices are holding steady with many selling in the 6 to 8k range. I recently purchased my 92 NA for a “steal” of 4000 but mostly because it had a rebuilt title (I know I know, conventional advice is stay away from rebuilt but the car is super clean). Most rebuilt titles are selling around 5k here from what I’ve recently seen.

    Enjoyable video for us folks always keeping our eyes open for used enthusiast cars. Here in Canada, NA and NB Miata prices appear to be leveling off with the exception of very clean low-mileage ones.
    Suggestion for a future vid, could you go into which used VWs you like and the typical maintenance/fixes you do to get them reliable?

    Great video! I just found your channel a few days ago through the KMiata build. Based on personal situation I think I'm gonna buy myself a fun car in about 2 years when my daughter gets her license and wants to drive the family car 😁 I'm torn between various cars like Miata, WRX, BRZ/FR-S, 350Z, 370Z, BMW 3 series (E36, E46), Z3 or Z4, Boxster, Cayman, Mustang (SN95, S197) and maybe stuff I'm forgetting right now🙃 At the end I may end up buying a brand new Ducati Streetfighter V2 and call it a day, who knows 🤣
    Anyway, keep up the good work and continue convincing me to get myself a Miata 😀

    Honestly it is quite the opposite in Europe, especially with Miatas, they gain on average between €200 and €500 every year. All the classics are ramping up in value. I would advise not to make assumptions based on what happens in a single market, you should leave these considerations to expert professionals.

    I'm not sure if you did this intentionally but I think you may have set your frame rate wrong. Seems like it was recorded in 30/60 FPS but then was rendered in 24 FPS? Its most noticeable/distracting when watching your hands/lips as you talk.
    Also the video quality its great! New camera? Looking forward to more uploads! :)
