  • Camp At Olympic National Park: Heart O' The Hills Campground
    Ever wonder what options Olympic National Park had to offer those looking to camp?? As I drove into the Hurricane Ridge area of the park, just a short distance from the Visitor's Center I found this option for camping. Offering larger pull through sites, back in sites and tent sites this campground is a great one for those looking to spend a few nights in Olympic National Park. Watch and learn a bit more about the site sizes, the amenities and one special feature you can find on the outer boundary of camp.

    Question of the Day: Do you camp with a tent, van or RV?

    I have stayed here a couple of years ago. Nice site sizes, very lush and thus not a lot of noise and when i was there the restrooms were working.

      I will be adding many many more reviews of parks very soon as I prepare to hit the road again for my summer travels. I have some nice things planned and also some boon docking sites that I think will have great appeal as you continue to progress in your adventures!!! Thanks for checking out the channel and stay tuned!!!

      @@BunnyPlaysHere I’m taking some shorter practice trips here in WA in preparation for my big car trip this fall to the southern states. Presently, I’m most insecure about finding boondocking places to stay. In prep, I’m playing with apps. What do you think? Thx

      @@penscruffy60 Apps are great!! that is how I started out and then as I became more adventurous I started finding places along the way that were in National Forests on my own. It is great once you start to slip into your comfort and are better able to seek out and spot a good site without issue. But yes, apps are awesome!!

    If you were having to choose between the Cascades or Olympic National Park for a weekend which would you suggest?

      OHHHH tough don't back me into a corner...lol... I love the loop for the differences it presents if you are driving it as a whole... but Olympic National park completely stole my heart... I LOVE IT!!!

    Great campground. I found your reviews on the Dyrt and saw you dropped your link in the forum for your van. Looking forward to see all that you do. Great reviews over there and on here.

      @@BunnyPlaysHere Hard no's for us would be not having electricity. We like showers, but if we have electricity we can use our RV shower. It wouldn't be that big of a deal for a day but anything over a day the kids would have a meltdown.

    I want to be as respectful as posible but I have to ask, do you HAVE TO stick your face between your camera and the interesting things in the campground 90% of the time?
    Also, remember that an image says more than a thousand words and you are doing it the other way around.

      Well thank you for your feed back my channel is one of commentary to inform about the places and then allow others to make their own memories by visiting. Sorry if my style does not work for you that is why there are so many creators on the platform all with differing styles.

    What time would to recommend to arrive at most of the ONP sites? As a fellow southerner living in Seattle I’m not sure what to expect this weekend. Great work with the content and tips!

    • @BunnyPlaysHere
      @BunnyPlaysHere  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the delay, during summer months the campgrounds around Olympic do fill up a bit more quickly. Earlier arrival is suggested especially for the free campsites near the rainforest area like HOH Oxbow. This site had lots of spaces so I did noticed it takes a bit longer to fill, but as evening arrives it is full.

      @@BunnyPlaysHere How do you deal with completely remote areas? Might be asking to much but I noticed you have a van now and are starting that. Do you have a set up inside or do you rough it?

    Nice glad you posted this campground. Can't wait to see some of the others you visited up in that area. I think it is great to see the semi improved areas with showers or running water because so many of them up there don't have those kind of amenities. I really like the detail you take with the campgrounds though to show the different features and explain them to the novice campers. Not everyone is experienced like us so it makes it make more sense to them.
