humans have adapted to use intellect for survival for along time now now brute strength not to mention are social dynamics was different, also in nature where its a thing their can only be one alpha in any given group and its not a role their born into, the position in the group is fluid as it doesn't matter how big they are if another is bigger they will be a beta, a beta in one group may have been an alpha in another group

One time, a guy tried to squeeze my hand in a handshake, trying to impress his friends.
I told him "It's fine, you can squeeze a little."
He squeezed harder, I still showed no reaction, and just said "Come on, almost there."
I made it super weird super fast.
"A bit more."

He eventually realized he was making a total fool of himself. His friends laughed at him, and I just walked away. I have a very high pain tolerance, so I can just ignore stuff like that if I want to. My hand still pops in weird places, but works fine otherwise, and it was totally worth it.
Once, this burly, surly guy at my job tried to squeeze my hand. However, my hand bones are really loose ( I think I may have a very mild case of EDS) and my hand disjointed o the spot, like in a cartoon. and I just looked at him, eyes dead like "Rlly, dude?"

At the place I worked at there was a guy who HATED a popular new guy and took every chance he could to crowd him, sabotage his office, make fun of him etc and a few months later a supervisor position opened up and the bully applied and bragged that it was obvious that he was going to be our boss. He didn’t know that the new guy had applied also and was actually more experienced and educated than the bully. New guy had taken the first position because he knew the supervisor was leaving and was planning on applying. Of course new guy got the job and....bully immediately threw a fit and quit. I was sooooo happy. He tried to bully me also. I was a single mom, just out of college and he made mean remarks to me constantly🤯
Sounds like the bully got karma for being an a$$
I would have taken the batterys out of everything he owned. Its not terrible but its nice to know that he'll have to make that extra trip at some point.

My father. i corrected him on some bit of historical trivia, and he started screaming about how I was in his house so he was in charge... and threatening to have me "locked up in the looney bin". I remember a guy my bf went to school with who tried really hard to flirt with me when my future bf was at the bar to buy us drinks. He tried to impress me with his intelligence and his online trolling game. Acted like he didn't care about anything and was obviously convinced that he was impressing me. He was extremely good looking but his behavior make him look like an ogre. I kept stealing glances at the bar and silently begging for my soon to be bf to come back because I was slowly dying from second hand embarrassment. The dude didn't stop. Bf comes back with the drinks and I turn my attention to him. I will admit, I was a bit petty but I was laughing extra hard at things my bf said and would only look at him and acted like his every word was the most amazing thing to ever be uttered by a human being. The smartass guy crumbled.
Sorta feel bad for the guy tbh. Though hopefully and probably it didn't bug him and he just found someone who is interested in that sorta thing

There was this kid that bullied me everytime his friends were around. Even his friends would be like "Okay, that's enough" but he insisted on insulting me and throwing food at me for no reason. Everytime I asked why he bullied me, he just said "Because you go to this school." Literally the worst reason ever. Though I do sort of have the tiniest bit of respect for him, because when my sister passed, he didn't bully me as severely for I think 3 or 4 weeks.

He didn't really bother me that much because I guess I felt bad for him. He was clearly insecure so I didn't want to make anything worse by verbally assaulting him back. Besides, it wouldn't make me any better than him if I tried to hurt his feelings 🤷

I have a response! In 7th grade this guy, who I knew pretty well, but saying we were friends is an over statement, tried to take my chair. Just as he grabbed it, my reflexes kicked in in and I grabbed it as well. He then proceeds to try and pull it away from me, but I'm just holding it there with a questioning look on my face. After 2 seconds of trying to take it from me, he stops and says, and I quote, "I'm stronger than you." I start to laugh in his face, because it was the most childish move I have ever seen anyone pull. I take my chair back and he goes looking for other chairs.

Driving. When I used to have a small car, every guy that had a truck that came up behind me would do everything they could to intimidate me. Driving practically on my bumper, going back and forth in their lane so I could see them, or pulling up in the lane beside me and trying to act all big. Now that I have an SUV, apparently I am a threat to every male with a truck on the road. Now, they try to run me off the road, cut me off, won't let me pass them, etc. It's annoying.
I drive an Acura TSX and find it hilarious when people do this. I had a similar driver behind and eventually next to me for a solid 5 minutes literally about 2 hours ago. His truck was so jacked up and absurd looking that when he finally pulled up in the next lane at the red light I couldn't help it and just started laughing my ass off (it was dark so there was no way he probably saw me, but it was still hilarious to me). I always wonder if these idiots that roll around in stupid looking jacked up trucks ridiculously aggressively like that realize how pathetic and desperate they come off. A man who feels the need to constantly prove how manly he is to everybody isn't really much of a man.

Here's the joke about the "lion" guy. Lions don't typically after said animals because lions find them threatening or they are aquatic/"playing a different game." So he basically admitted he finds them threatening. I'm not even in the medical field.
I went to my girlfriend's birthday party but since they're traditional and stuff she and her sister were helping with the cooking. They told me to sit with her brother or with some women so I decided I was gonna sit with her brother. So I sat with him and he obviously didn't like me sitting with him so I didn't try to speak to him and neither did he. I just kinda stared into space and zoned out and at some point he started flexing his muscles and put his knife where I would've seen him to kinda intimidate me. I had this guy who referred to himself as a Young Gun when he retold a story he was involved in. He swore up and down that's what people called him. I met a lot of his friends and family but none of them spoke that way. I even brought it up during a family dinner once and they all said something like "that's how he is" while he slunk in his chair. Like dude, I'm already here, quit flexing your importance and start flexing a personality.
Had a guy try to drag me off the lights, he was in a muscle car, I was on a 110cc motorbike. He was revving hard and looking dead at me the whole time. When it went green he stalled it, and I smoothly took off on something that sounded like a slightly aggressive vacuum cleaner. It took him so long to restart he ended up several cars behind but I could see him tailgating everyone who got in front of him until his turn came up.

Ridiculous, some people are simply ridiculous. A guy that worked out all the time and thought I was a flabby fat body boasted to everyone in our workplace on how he could easily beat me in arm wrestling. The short story version is I beat him in arm wrestling and he couldn't accept it. My father put me to work with my hands my entire childhood until I joined the military. I'm actually very strong and I am a flabby fat body.

I am a guy. I remember I entered an almost empty trainstation to catch a train. In it stood a guy talking in hes phone. Nothing special about it.
I calmly took the escalator ride down to my trains platform. He ran down the escalator. Tried to pass me in the door but couldn't. Once on the platform he ran past me. A meter or 2 infront of me he stoped hes running and began walking in the same calm speed as me.
A female ticketinspector saw everything. She stoped him in the trains door to give him ticketinformation. I calmfully walked into the train. He saw me calmfully walking to the travelcardreader, inside the train, and tried to get to it before me. I had allready my travelcard ready to blipp, while he had to fish out hes wallet from hes pockets to get hes travelcard.
Once i blipped my travelcard before him, infront of him, he looked angrilly at me. I just gave him a smile and walked calmfully to my seat.
It was obvious he tried to be an alpha against me, while I only bothered about my self and my own things. He failed to assert hes dominance against me.
Forgot to mention: I've seen tons of bissy passengers before. Stressed passengers behaves diffrently than he did.
There aren't many more pathetic things in this world than a macho wannabe, who tries too hard.

-kept bragging that his dad was an NCAA winner thing. You barely saw anything about his dad if you looked him up. It was true, but it was dumb.
-bragged that he was named after dragons. In every kahoot or every thing where we could nickname ourself, he would always have something along the lines of “(name or something close to it) mercy man”
-tried saying that he could draw better dragons. Little did he know I was like, the fourth best drawer in the class. I could fold shit better than what I saw. (Irrelevant, but we had someone judge our drawings. He said the winner gets something like a dollar. Zach you still owe me.)
-always and I mean always “flexed” his athleticism. He did it way too much. I will give him that he was actually athletic.
-shook his head like a maniac if I answered a question correctly. He always tried to recorrect me. Occasionally he would interrupt me and answer for me.
I have a few more stories on this dude. He was an ahole. Sorry if I nitpicked.
Edit: there was also a time where this dude tried to race my dad. On a crowded road. On the way to drop me off at school. When my dad didn’t race, he flipped us off and chucked a couple rocks at us. My dad said if it was back in his day, he would’ve pulled him over and “kicked his ass”. My dad did boxing back in the day and was quite muscular.
I never got the pride in working so much. Like I work long hours sometimes too, but I get lots of overtime and don't have a family so there's no big deal. I'll also adjust hours later in the week so it's not too bad, like last week I had three 11 hour days so I worked for three on Friday and ended up at 43 hours. I don't get why people brag about 60 hour weeks. I choose sanity.

Wow, kids these days. So much of this was so pathetic. Not only the people trying to be dominant, but also the ones potentially being dominated. There were maybe only 2 ppl that seemed relatable at all. Like just lauging it off, or the handshake thing I can definately relate to. I'm 38. I dont feel that this is old, but damn times have changed. "Back in my day" if someone was trying to be dominant over you, there was a fight or you were a little b!tch. The truth is, if someone didnt teach some Yahoo manners, as a man I almost feel obligated to give them a lesson. People are too afraid of confrontation now days. It is a really bad look. If someone shakes your hand and squeezes hard, look them right in the eye, and then throw a thumb nuckle, hard into thier extended arms armpit just outside of the pit down about 2 inches on the under side/inside of their arm. They will stop, and wont squeeze your hand again. In fact once they let go if you jump at them they will likely flinch like a punk. I am that big guy who doesnt start fights, but I will definitely end one. This is why I dont go to bars.

Secondary school. Me and this kid were throwing joke insults at each other. I was sat at a computer with my back to him. I made a mum joke at him and he took it personally, standing from his desk saying he was about to beat my ass.
I was a clear foot taller than him so I just stood up. He realized the height difference and sat back down with everyone else laughing at him.
Cool guy otherwise though.
When I was in Philippines, I was in those busses that are tiny with no doors or windows, so some kid got in and went up to me and said those tough guy words of "what what" but he was so scrawny that I looked at him with pity. Genuinely was embarrassing for the dude

I was in middle high school. An idioic boy half my height was acting like a pimp and tryed to intimidate me by calling me names and pushing me around. He was threatening to beat me and even kill me and my mom, while saying he was the son of a Narco. I knew his dad, a lovely mand who worked as a Taco vending car, so i wasn't scared of him at all, so when i said i knew he wasn't a narco, he tryed to hit me, but i pushed him so hard he fell on his back and, out of revenge, i sat on his stomach. I have obesity, so the poor eyed breadstick was completely traped under almost 90 kg of pure fat and mommy love. His friends didn't help him at all, even when they outnumbered me and instead they started to laught at him. The poor pipsqueek started insulting me and them the first 20 seconds, but he started to feel dizzy for the lack of oxigen, so i forced him to leave alone or i wouldn't get up. He then agreed and i got up, just to see him, humiliated, mad, insulting me while crying and walking like a sedated cat out of my sight.

To his surprise, and what obviously would happen, every one of his friends surrounded him and started yelling him that he will get beaten and he was lucky that a girl from the balaclava guys said GUYS HE CLEARLY DIDNT INTENDED IT, RIGHT??
Then they left him alone.

I'm not a guy, but many years ago I joined a workplace that was all men. Most of the team were cool, but there was one guy who seemed to have a serious problem about working with a woman.
He started with petty stuff. Spreading rumors. Refusing to talk to me. Deliberately making things dangerous when I was working.
After a few weeks, he put up a n*de calendar in our shared office. I presume he was trying to mark his territory and/or make me uncomfortable. But when I walked in that morning and saw it, I just burst out laughing and told him he'd have done better to just piss in the corner.
The best bit was when the general manager saw it and when absolutely crazy, screaming at him. He moved to another job not long after that.
