True in Gospel music, musicians must set the atmosphere in worship,it's important to be skilled and knowing your craft but the most important thing is we must be sensitive to the Holy Spirit while playing because the Lord will anoint your hands
Great lessons, Kerry! So true about gospel and worship music that it's not about "hey look at me while I'll play this solo by playing fast and using bunch of notes" but more of playing background and more focus on the Holy Spirit.
This is a beautiful song in it’s message. In my Church, my Uncle does the lead. He has been through a lot and he’s still here and still working for the Lord.
Man I would love a video of how you approach vibrato without a tremolo bar. I have one, but sometimes I want it in my hands. I'm originally a bass player(17 uears) and maybe I'm just a little timid with how I shake the leaf guita strings thinking they are going to break or, just don't know the correct technique
Hey Kerry love everything you post my only question is whenever you say that you’re going to play in a certain key could you please help me understand what follows afterwards I need to know what do you mean you’re playing in the key of (D) my thing is what follows afterwards does that mean E follows then F so and so forth all leading back to the key of (D)?
Kerry , when I play this song the singer is covering what you are playing. Can you play the background power chords in the beginning? I always try to make the singer go deeper by shadowing their lead vocals by like you said holding a note abit.
@@Kerry2smooth thanks because I’ve been listening to John Mayer and others play and I really like the phrasing of blues as well. And the BB box has become apart of my soloing as a new player.
What questions do you have about soloing? Post your questions below. Thanks for watching!
That playing saved some souls.
Praise God
🔥🔥🔥🔥 lesson brother thank you

The slides and pull offs are sick. I’ve always tried to learn to play fast and shred but the long and slower notes hit harder. Great work
“Kick’n it into overdrive” 😎

Amen!

More soloing gold! Live with this and find your own voice.

I does have problems starting of a solo. Would like if you can help me with that please.
When soloing why do you use 4 fingers instead of 1 to play notes on a single string? Also, are solos only done on the top 3 strings?
Ok. I’m a new Kamper. Can I learn the blues scale and include that into my RnB/Gospel?
Sure

What is this genre name for this music, I have the hardest time finding in on music streaming
What do you mean by long notes
what is song and artist?
"Worth" I think it's Anthony Brown
There aren’t enough church guitar channels
Tramelo bar lol
