Second of all, I am not "telling myself" this, the facts are that Colin Jost and Michael Che (this year's hosts) wrote the script for the skits presented, work in Saturday Night Live (where they are also the head writers), they said it themselves that they were trying to do somethng similar with what they do in SNL. If you watch any of the Weekend Updates they do, you'll see that this is something very simlar to their sense of humour (which is obvious, since they were the ones who wrote it).
