1963 is definitely pre cbs, however cbs purchased fender in early january of 65. You can still see some examples with L series neckplates into late 65. Though many of these instruments retain pre-cbs features, they are technically cbs. I point this out because both you, and Mark have stated that L series indicates pre cbs, which in reality is only partially true. nice tribute to Curt and Nirvana , that guitar has some great resonance , bright and crisp but with a wicked bottom end , sounds great , great playing , nice use of the looper , thanks Michael and Jen.

I just bought a gorgeous jag and think I must spend a whole week of nirvana jam sessions with myself and the looper, looks like the most fun ever! I'll try and post a few if anyone is interested. One of my favourite things to do on guitar is work out acoustic versions of nirvana songs, and this looks just as much fun 😎🤙

I bought a S-Type jaguar car when i was making lots at sea though. Hunk of junk that fell to bits. Kicking myself for not buying some really nice guitars and amps with all that dosh, but can't cry over spilled milk (injured spine now and can't go back to sea). Lucky this year I picked up a 1997 Les Paul Studio for a very good price. Black with ebony board and I put Whole Lotta Humbucker pups in it. Fantastic guitar for some reason. Quite heavy, but what a tone. Put so much wear on those frets already. Maybe go stainless. I never though a humble Studio model would stop me craving all those bursts etc I see on TH-cam. p.s. Amp Of The Week would be interesting.
I love the interpretations Lemmo has on all the songs he covers for the demos. The Ditto really has opened up a whole new world of GOTD possibilities. Next week, let's get REALLY weird on Wednesday! Some crazy thing we've never heard of!!
The Johnny Marr Jaguar has a fix for that issue, aftermarket parts available as well. I wish I had known about even the Mustang bridge swap option, might never have let my '66 go when I was young and stupid(er).
Great to see this. I was 5 in '62 and garage bands were great then. This would have been the thing i would have loved. Heck a c-a-r- Schwinn Sting Ray would have been cool too. Last but not least, 22 frets on the Jag. i can dig it.
g mat I wanted a Schwinn bike...the one w the banana seat & gear shift. I LOVED that bike....maybe someday 😬 I’m 57-may not be able to get my leg up that high anymore
@@espcarolkinder Thank you so much for the reply. Carole. A kid i knew back then got a chrome (?) Sting Ray with the 5 speed shifter. Looked great but couldn't wheelie right away. A10 speed later ? no prob. if this was mine,,,,nah, Candy apple red or metallic blue on a real Schwinn Sting Ray.
Hi Michael I have a friendly suggestion for you. I think you're doing a great job and if you keep doing what you're doing it will be fine but you should start to make your Guitar of the Day your own. Mark did a great job and one of the things that made it so great was that it reflected his interests and loves. If I were you I wouldn't be so concerned about continuing the traditions of 'Tele Tuesday' and 'Strataday.' Step out and be yourself, make your OWN traditions. Needles to say I still want to keep seeing Telecasters and Strats. Keep up the great work!

Had an old one, the bridge used to vibrate down until the strings buzzed. Bought it with a black face Champ for a grand In Nashville.
