I always find it a little sad that Geralt just ends up at an empty Kaer Moren alone, all his friends have moved on, depending on which ending you got Ciri could be empress, he could be with neither Triss nor Yennifer. I always take a walk around the place one more time, to say goodbye because it's also time for Geralt to move on too. I feel kind of bad for the people who bought this back in 2015 before the DLC expansions released, because this would have been it after the credits rolled, just Geralt alone at Kaer Moren
Yeah, I remember when I got this in 2015. Felt empty was like damn what a great story but where is everyone? They should have added what happens after the game like Nilfgaard or Redania winning. You could also see the troops in the occupied places.
@@geoffreyparker2786 Dude, you hit the nail on the head, it feels empty being there, and I'd like to think this is done intentionally, because the adventure is over, what do you do now? My first playthrough I used this time to fully explore the area, getting the Witcher Wolf school gear schematics, and my second playthrough noticed Keira was on the map in a frankly ridiculous spot to reach with Geralt's glass knees. She sells you herbs and even mentions her and Lambert being together, don't know if that's a glitch or not, but that dialogue is there.

@@cadiskox8073 Olgierd is definitely an extremely badass antagonist, with that whistle theme of his, but the scenes with Regis and Detlaff and the whole vampire attack on Touissant made me love Blood and Wine more
@@aleksiheija8170 blood and wine is so, so good, but hearts of stone tops it by a bit for me. Blood and Wine has a beautiful map to explore and some truly wonderful side quests with a great main story to boot, and it’s an absolutely perfect ending to the trilogy as a whole. Beautiful in so many ways. But hearts of stone’s main quest had me by the balls with so much tension and excitement and heartfelt storytelling that I couldn’t help but love it a little more
In terms of sheer scale and enjoyableness, Blood and Wine is the best DLC. But Hearts of Stone is just brilliant story wise - I think better than the base game and BaW. I love it so much: the atmosphere, the villain, the story, they’re just outstanding.
Olgierd does resemble David Beckham quite a lot, lol. Very close to the point that I suspect the character artist may have had Beckham's likeness in mind as a reference (a certain look Beckham had at some point. the resemblence in the comparison pictures online is uncanny).
The runesmith is actually useful in creating a massively overpowered character but you must know precisely how to use it properly. The wrong rune enchant on the wrong play style can actually hinder you but on the right play style can be utterly insanely overpowered. For example, there is an enchant where your targets will explode when they are killed by igni which in turn sets other targets on fire. This seems pointless unless you have an igni build. If you have an igni build it can be a massively over powered as your igni can rip through several targets at once causing multiple explosions and setting everyone in the vicinity on fire. Add in the additional upgrades from blood and wine and you got a build that can easily own the final boss in blood and wine. Then there is an enchant that enhances your melee damage based on your health. You can eat extra food and in turn increase the damage of your next few melee attacks as your health will tick down from 100+ to 100. This is great for people who have a large supply of food and can avoid taking damage while they strike. Then there is the infamous axii enchant. This is utterly useless unless you are very very stealthy and clever. When you mind control someone with axii they will run into a fight and kill people which increases the length of the enchant. When that person is killed, the mind control will jump to the next person and the fight will continue. While you do no get any xp for the kills its a great way to clear huge amounts of human enemies in an area. You can easily mind control one person and within minutes there will be only 1 or 2 enemies remaining for you to fight. Its a xp waste for sure but when you are no longer gaining xp its a clever way to eliminate foes while you watch the battle royal from a distance. It all depends on your play style and where you put those points. Points in the right things can greatly increase the effectiveness of this enchant while the wrong one will provide minimal aid. If you are unable to get enough gold there is the floating barrels in skellege. There is at least 20 to 25k gold to be had from the items plus you could also fill out some of those potion and oil recipes you are still missing. Judging by the fact that you still are getting recipes from drops suggests you got a lot of potion recipes still out of reach so your alchemy could use some upgrading.

glad you're playing it so early , DLC's will be a brand new experience for you and even better than the original storyline and game would me much harder than the base game
Keira is somewhere outside, has a merchant icon. That cool Quen shield replenishes your health when it gets hit, and explodes when it expires, dealing splash damage. So pop it up if you need some health regen. You should stick with the main story until you finish the first leg. You will know clearly when that is. Then you can take a break for side content. As others suggested, trailers give away major spoilers, so don't watch any of them, even though they are very well made. If you have a spare great red mutagen, use it in the character panel. Do not loose that Ofieri saddle. It is a unique item. CDPR cut no corners with these expansions. You have no idea yet how big this one is, and the next one is even bigger. They don't call Witcher 3 one of the best games ever for nothing. The problem with those cannibals, regardless of how things happened, is one of "acquired taste". If wolves won't kill other human/oids, the two will lure victims in. So I always dispose of them.
