I love all the clothes the women in the background are wearing...Edith Head outdid herself even though Hubert de Givenchy did Ms. Hepburn principle wardrobe! Plus the scenes showing the fountains and sculptures...takes my breath away everytime...shame on anyone trying to destroy such beauty! Viva Paris!
Givenchy did Kay Thompson’s coat for this scene as well. Apparently Kay didn’t like that Edith was doing her character’s wardrobe, arguing that the top fashion editor should have haute couture clothes lol but it didn’t go her way. So when it was raining heavily in Paris, Kay successfully argued that she needed a raincoat. She got one from Givenchy and wore it over Edith Head’s clothes
@@JessicaChastainFan I am definitely no longer the target audience for Emily in Paris and I do admit that it is the opposite of great art. But it's also not a bad show either. In fact, it's funny, light, and somewhat touching. Just like Funny Face! Obviously it lacks the acting and the music, but I think a lot of effort is beng put into the show.
Gone but not forgotten, director Stanley Donen who excelled in musicals. On the Town, Singing in the Rain, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. A personal favorite, Funny Face with its insouciant charm like this tribute to Paris.
Such a fun and great sequence from this film. Paris sadly has lost much of her innocence since this film came out with all of the terrorism nonsense that has struck her in the years since. Brings a tear to one's eye.
Part of the beauty of Paris is its resiliency. Think of the French Revolution and all the bloodshed that occurred then. The city still stands, as beautiful as ever. Paris will recover.
One major difference between then and now is the sheer number of migrants in the country now.... How can it recover from that... The politicians have completely destroyed our most treasured jewels..
Si ils étaient encore vivant et verraient paris aujourd'hui ils pleureraient des larmes de sang tellement qu'elle est devenu d'une laideur insoutenable et sale
@@krixxset2214 please dont say that considering france obtained most of her riches from Africa. Im an African-American but i still appreciate art, literature, fashion, etc. We should just appreciate each others' culture. Youre still my brother...were all part of the same race. The human race.
Geoffrey Phipps I appreciate the sentiment mate but lets not get ahead of each other here. The races are different and its this difference that allow some to gain an advantage in some activities.. Your race are fast runners over both short distance and long distance. My race can lift very heavy weight or swim fast.. I enjoy TRUE diversity, I want to be able to visit africa one day and see real african culture... I also want people to be able to visit Europe and meet true Europeans and experience our grand history through our art and architecture.. What it happening in the west today is nothing but fucking dispossession. Its not diversity its REPLACEMENT. Its genuine racism and people are waking up more and more.... Things are going t get very fucking bad if something radical does not change soon. All the races of the world are entitled to their own land on which to move towards our particular goals and dreams.. Does anyone here know the credits piano music ? It's terrible ! Wonderfull video for a parisian boy like me by the way ! And it's really funny to see Paris without that disgusting Montparnasse Tower !
"Paris is Always a good idea," Audrey Hepbun used to say. And she and Paris belonged together. Elegant, timeless, breathtaking.

Love them both since Lily Collins also love Audrey Hepburn
This was the best sequence in the film. Especially because I have already been to Paris many times and know all the spots in it.
Did you hum Bonjour Paris while visiting?
Her voice is just made for this song. So exuberant and innocent.
You could spend a lifetime in Paris. And to share it with Audrey Hepburn would have been a dream come true.

On 8/23/2019 The MET Opera started their Summer HD Opera film outdoors series, with the screening of the film Funny Face by Stanley Donen.
Audrey is a goddesss
Kay Thomson stole the show in this movie, she should deserved the Academy Award.
2:15 💓
Audrey charming.
I love this movie wonderful scenes and number musicals excelent.
Love This Movie!!!
Le vieux Paris, magnifique!
Audrey reminds me of Anya in Anastasia 😍
If Ania is pronounced Anya, she acted in one movie acting in the name of Hanya whilst her name was Ana

Kay Thompson's outfit! Gosh! I want it, like, YESTERDAY!
Love the beautiful piano music at the end of your clips 🥰

Pourquoi Paris n’est pas resté comme à cette époque là ? :’( 😍

Vivid orchestration by the legendary Conrad Salinger
Arrangement by Salinger but orchestrated by his chief orchestrator Robert Franklyn.
If you ever go, friendly tip. Don't ride equestrian statuary. You'll get arrested. But hey, I'm sure Parisian jails are tres chic.
Wow Sacre Coeur without the swarm of tourists!!!
Paris n'avait pas changé depuis 1957 mais depuis 20 ans Paris a été DÉFIGURÉ.

Brilliantly done by all concerned.
