Great ideas! Some of the large felt decor at DT can be good for tracing, too. Last year I used one to experiment with an outdoor rug, first spray-painting one of the black DT mats yellow, then placing, a big felt flower on it/using blue spray. It turned out great - I just needed to add a flower center "by hand".
Years ago I had 2 big windows at the front of the house. I had so many of those things, some even 2 of them. They were big enough not to get lost in those windows.
Hi Jenny! Yes, these are awesome therapeutic ideas for the non-artist to practice with! I would have used that gold leaf to stencil a little embellishments on that big leaf, then added "It's Fall y'all" onto it. Great ideas to practice, bc the artwork is endless on both, and something that I can do with my daughters! I love it! Thanks for sharing the ideas and inspiration!❤🙏🏾🤗

Hi Jenny, I have had a hard weekend with my Dad not being well and a long day at work without AC. I come home very tired after a 12 hour day as I have on Mondays. I was so tired I didn't even feel like eating dinner but I did. I was in bed by 8:30 but now awake at 10:45. I saw I had an alert on my phone for a new video of your's sooooo, I always lock on. Just yesterday my Dad called me his Fall Baby and my Mom called me that quite often. I grew up in farm country and my Mom would push me in the stroller and I would watch the leaves fall trying to catch them. As I grew older and as an adult I would gather leaves in my hand taking walks with my grandmother in the Shenandoah mountains. I had an idea while walking one day and gathering leaves with her and I said, her grandma, do you have clear cling wrap and an embroidery hoop. When we got back home I wrapped one piece of cling wrap neatly around one hoop,displayed the burnt red Canadian maple leaf, the yellow oak leaves and the orange oak leaves in the middle. Then put over the leaves another piece of cling wrap and we hung it in her dining room. The leaves stayed nice all winter before they became brittle and dry. I make many post cards each year for craft sales using a rubber stamp of leaves and nice Tombow markers and glitters. Everyone always loves them. This large yellow canvas leaf is AMAZING Jenny! I feel like I can reach out and touch it. I am so eager to finish organizing my home but I am overwhelmed as it's so small. Nails are not permitted but command hooks are or command grips and canvas is light weight. I would love to have a gallery wall for my artwork. I have a painting on display at a new gallery in town from June thru August. You have the best crafts always!
