@@DoctorSteamCatSteamenson Awsome! Thank You for the tips on restoring the paint! (Someone had stripped the paint on the socked on the maschine i got so i need to re paint it anyway and this looked realy great in my opinion! its pretty hard to re create the original emanel paint.) For the Märklin, I miss the sightglass metal parts, the nameplate on the boilersides, ABC plate, the filling cap If You happen to stumble upon some of this for sheap, it does not matter if it is in bad shape as long as it can be functionaly restored and look reasonably good after restoration, all of the machines in my collection has allredy been restored at some point anyway. I must say that i was supprised by how little i needed to do in order to make them work again, the rest is purly cosmetic things. Only exeption was where some person in the past had tried to repair the boiler with a OX/AC gaswelder and hardsolder alloys ment for repairing cast iron and the run all ower the mess with a disc grinder... everything was totaly roasted and there was no way i could take it apart easily, probably the work of a kid in the 70s, but still i think i managed to save it... and for the J. Falk machine i miss boilerparts (particulary the dome and the boilercase, chimney, etc) and the oilcup on the steam line is missing, and the oilcup on the cylinderhead seem to be beound resque. I think i can made some of them if i got acess to a late. At the moment i connected the Falk maschine to an old Fleishmann boiler i hawe modified for testrunning other machines since i don't hawe the aggregat for it (it turned out to be a very rare model that large boiler belong to so i don't think will find tha aggregat for that particular model anyway, but it is easy to convert back to original if someone want to do so in the future), and the boiler is large enough to power machines of this size. since so many parts are missing i concider re using the old boilerparts as a mockup and run it from the Fleishmann boiler when i hawe it on display. I recently ordered things from ebay, but it turend out to be parts from an old medical device and not at all for the model steam engines, quite annoying, but i guess the guy who sold the batch did not knew that.
Hi, unfortunately my stock of spare parts has shrunk quite a bit and the next patient is already on his way from Portugal to me :-D but if I find something I'll be happy to let you know! Steam friends help each other to keep their treasures alive ;-) Unfortunately I don't have Falk in my collection, but I think they are great machines! I had to decide because otherwise there would be too many types and manufacturers... oh if only I could save them all :-D So I have specialised in Märklin Doll and Fleischmann. I've also had the odd flop on ebay, but over time even the bad buys have been helpful for later projects. That's how I got my steam condenser :-D Best regards and good luck!
@@DoctorSteamCatSteamenson Awsome! I realy look forward to see more of that one! I hawe a few Märklin machines in my collection too, they are among my personal favorites. I hawe one complete Fleishmann as well i recently bought from a guy in Germany, wich i am almost done with, it's just a small area with missing paint and new gasket material. The machine was in such good condition when it arrived with original labels and things, so i did not wanted to do a complete strip of the original paint for historical reasons. I hawe not testrun it yet because the XXL pack of solid fuel i ordered from an outdoor shop turned out to be complete crap, that's what happens if one buy the sheepst stuff available i suppose, i can hardly blame anyone else for that... ha ha I think i will make a proper spirit burner for it instead. I made a pretty good deal on that Falk Maschiene a couple of years ago on a national action site because of it's condition, but the baseplate and the important pieces of the aggregat was in reasonably good condition despite the missing boiler, i think i hawe a loose aggregat from a later and sheaper model as well in my box of projects (it turned out to be very damaged whan i took it apart, but i hawe not give up on it yet... Will see if i manage to cast a few missing brass parts for it from 3D resin prints in the future), Josef Falk machines are extremly rare where i live. Doll machines are also very, very hard to comeby where i live, but i bought a loose aggregat last year of one of the smaller models and i found a loose boiler in another batch i also bought from Germany, i plan to use the aggregat connected to another machine with a loose steamvalve mounted to the boiler, when the stemvalve assembly arrive, (Beside the stationarys, most of my collection is 0 gauge tinplate modeltrains, most of them are British because they sometimes goes relativly sheap if they are post war manufactured, i actualy hawe one 1920s BING livesteam toy locomotive, it has been badly owerpainted, but it seem to be an original, that's the only German made livesteamer i hawe i think (the rest are British or French, i hawe a few American ones too, i love them, and they just cost a fraction of the European made ones, but unfortunatly it is incredibly expensive to ship and import/custom taxesfrom the US to Sweden, it usualy tend to cost a lot more than the locomotive it self...)
Hi Thomas!

Wunderbare Maschine!
Ein Traum! Habe eine reparaturbedürftige Nr. 6.
