I just bought the Scout XT and two different sets of 10 inch bands I've never had a slingshot like this when I was a kid I had a rist rocket they called it I'm excited for this one I can't wait to get it
Just ordered the scout x pro. I don't regret spending the extra money on the aluminum frame. I probably should have just gotten plastic and saved $ so don't let me push you into bad spending ideas but I don't regret the extra splurge.
The scout XT is also the one I started with for the same reasons that you found. It was everywhere and a strong reputation. I am a smaller person my hands are smaller so when the XT came out I switched. love them both. Simple shot is a great company to deal with as well
Mine is extremely accurate. I have 2 and think that I will get another one. They are really nice too shoot. I bought 2 cleavers they were a joke. I still have them if anyone else is interested in them for half the price.

I just purchased the simple shot Axiom Champ a small frame Sling I tried and tried to shoot gangster style I have had numerous fork hits I found out that if I shoot upright 180 degrees I am very accurate with no fork hits I will tell you I have done everything I could with the advice of the guys at simple shot with no avail I guess I will stick with upright with this frame have a great day stay safe !
On 15 February 2023 my xt copy version from China arrived. And today I try it. Wow fantastic good 👍. Indeed yes scout xt is the king of slingshot as what you said. I try 50 shoot and almost hit target 45 of 50 in the first day trying. And I will buy another one original version of scout xt. This year.
Been shooting all my other ones, and last few days dusted off the scout, 2 shots and then I'm hitting 40mm circle targets at 30 yards, very solid and stable, I love my other ones, but this seems to be the easiest to acquire your target fast
Do you know if they ship to nz?im thinking of getting into slingshot hunting myself and I’ve been having a hard time finding anything that doesn’t look like a child’s toy.
I’m not sure if they ship to New Zealand. I would try to make the purchase and see. I do know there’s a generic version that you can get on Amazon if they can’t
The Scott is king of versatility. Always a great recommendation for beginners because of grip choice, band orientation choice, durability and safe fork gap. I have one of each size and love them. For my concept of the ultimate sling though pocketable is a major must have. So this is not THE one for me.
I believe the best slingshot is the one you feel most comfortable shooting with accuracy therefore I make my own with wire hangers and duck tape my grandfather taught me this technique after surviving the Korean War nothing on Amazon can match a good homemade slingshot in my opinion but there meant for fun and I do believe the Scott is fun to shoot but not my survival go too
A slingshot is not really a complicated thing. It’s just a fancy fork frame. It really just comes down to comfort. The main difference here is that one is built better than the other. Either can work, but the material on the Scout will hold up longer
Couple of questions; *Whatever happened to slingshots with a forearm brace that compensates for weak wrists? * Do you prefer to shoot with a horizontal orientation, or vertical? Why? Thanks.
You can actually get what’s commonly known as a wrist rocket (for wrist support) from Simpleshot and it’s called the Hammer XT. It is a Phenomenal Slingshot! I’ll try to shoot both horizontally and vertically just because it has opened up my versatility. I found learning to shoot up right a little more difficult but I’ve become somewhat instinctive. Started with a daisy wrist rocket, to the scout XT. Pinch grip TTF at first but eventually switched to thumb brace/support grip OTF. Can’t ever go back now

I think pinch grip gives you a little bit more control/leverage over the frame where recoil is concerned
