I bumped self provoked back in 2013 when i was in highschool. I graduated 2014 and 2022 now. Im 26 lived loved lost. Life has been quite the ride. I made it this far. RIP MY DAD AND MY HOMIE DREW. I wouldnt trade those days for anything in the world. They werent the best but. It was good while it lasted. Embrace the struggle
I'm 41 as of a month ago and let me tell you life is certainly a trip. Music is my oasis and safe harbor, always has been. Thing that makes music so powerful is it's dynamics. If you caught a beat that was static in rhythm; a flow that has hi change in cadence; or melody with no chord progression, it would feel flat and sound like trash. Its the changing of notes, the crescendos, the syncopation, and all the changes throughout that make it work. It's what gives it life, momentum and power. The reason it's in my opinion, the most powerful artistic display of human emotions. Life, just like music, follows the same equation. It's in the highest of highs, like when you fall in love or see your new born open their eyes for the first times. It's in the lowest of lows, like when you lose that first love and experience real heart break, or when we lose someone ckosest to us. It's in those seemingly trivial moments of uncontrolled laughter you share with your homies and those quiet, silent moments to self where you finally see things clearly. It's in the build ups towards something new and exciting or in the slow downs where you feel ridden with fear and apprehension. It's all of it combined that forms something incredible and "perfect". Without the dynamics, life becomes monotonous and boring. You need the lows to appreciate and understand the highs, and you need the highs to pull you from the grips of the lows. You need experiences that bring wisdom and with that wisdom, higher understanding and appreciation of self. It's all connected. With that metaphorical relationship, write the most beautiful song your capable of. No one else in your life has that power but you. Live a life worthy of living... Don't simply exist.
Makes me think of this girl I used to talk to, we used to blaze, have fun, laugh, talk, it was such a genuine love. Without the drugs even, she was one of a kind. Smh I fucken hate myself ...
