Great video! We're potentially planning a Tuk Tuk tour visit like you did. May I ask how you managed to park-up and sightsee whilst keeping your personal possessions safe in the Tuk Tuk? (as the Tuk Tuk boot is open).

Thanks so much Dave! We never left any valuables in the tuk tuk, we woud always leave our luggage at our next hotel location before we went sightseeing and anything we did need we kept in a day bag with us 😊

@@CazzyandBradley Are you making more videos from S.L? Your video was one of the best, yet I see much fewer viewers, I do not get it! I have been there 5 times, but can not wait to go there again!

@@patrklakan5039 Awh thank you so much! Hopefully, views will increase as we grow :) I'm not sure if we'll be making more Sri Lanka videos as I used most of my content in this video, but possibly! But I do hope to revisit one day so will definitely make more then! :P

Hey guys! Great video! I found it by searching for a 3 week itinerary for Sri Lanka as we have booked to go in September! I didn't even consider renting a tuk tuk, just assumed we would be getting public transport, but it sounds so fun!! I do have a few questions though if you don't mind helping me out :) How long were you driving for each day roughly? Is it easy enough to get petrol over there? As we are there just under 3 weeks we want to visit the best places, so where were your favourite and least favourite spots? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you 🙏💙

Hey Mille! Glad you found us! :) Driving a tuk tuk was awesome, and I'm going to link our blog post here too because we have much more information in it: www.dreambigtravelfarblog.com/blog/renting-driving-tuk-tuk-sri-lanka
But you may have already read it, so we typically drove around 2 hours- sometimes 3 on our tuk tuk per day, simply because they don't go very fast 40km an hour. Basically, when we checked the distance between two locations on google maps, we would double it for timing in the Tuk tuk and it worked out about right. Getting petrol is super easy, you'll always be driving through towns that sell it, and fuel prices are fixed (or at least they used to be when we were there) and it's very cheap! I'll also link to our actual 3 week itinerary, www.dreambigtravelfarblog.com/blog/3-week-sri-lanka-itinerary
I really loved all these places, but in the interests of timing, I would skip out Mullaitivu in the north, and Arugam Bay, Sri Lanka, so from ella area, drive straight down to Mirissa/Unawatuna area. Not because Arugam bay isn't nice, but it will add a detour if you're short on time. it'll make more sense if you look at the blog post I linked and the little map we have there! :)
      Hope that helps!!

@@CazzyandBradley I have read those blog posts, they are incredibly helpful..thank you!
I noticed that you guys visited quite a lot of places, did you feel rushed to squeeze it all into 3 weeks? We're like you guys, we like to see and do as much as we possibly can, but only have just under 3 weeks so don't want to feel too rushed if we go to loads of places you know..
Anyway thanks so much for your help!! :)
