Another Hail Caesar solo game in the Boot Room with my Bruces in Ireland figures. A straight battle where the two sides attempt to smash each other's forces to pieces!

Thanks, they are actually from LastValley. Lovely things
Thank you for all the content and keeping me company as I stumble forward through my painting and all the other things involved in this hobby
You are so welcome!
Fun game Dom. Nice to see all your recently painted figures on the table. 👍
Always fun to see a project through to the tabletop
Awesome Dom! Thanks again for a great game to watch while painting feudal troops!
Thanks for watching mate
Great report, Dom. The table looks really good and the splash of colour from the figures make it a treat for the eyes.
Cheers Paul. Massed figures always look great
The English have mixed fortunes in war on Irish soil yet again, nice game, Dom!
Yeah seems that way!
Just getting my teeth into HC, so this was fantastic to watch. Really enjoyed it Dom 👍🏻
Thanks for watching. I got a few rules confused but it was fun
Great way to kick off the New Year Dom!! Many Thanks👍
Same to you!
An interesting Historical Choice. I always thought King Robert sent his Brother to Ireland to get him out from under Robert's feet. IE...Robert always knew this was going to be a 1-way trip!
PS, can I inquire what miniatures you used for your Irish? Right now I'm using Perry for my Kern & Gallowglass though they don't have a large range.
Entirely possible that was true but he did go with him at first so at least in the beginning he might have been serious about conquering Ireland. Certainly there were advantages to opening up another front against the English after Bannockburn.
@@horuslupercal9936 sure, it’s a real mixed bag, there’s Perry, Wargames Atlantic, Gripping Beast, Footsore and Antediluvian Miniatures t name a few!
@@BootsontheTable Cheers Mate They all look great!
@@horuslupercal9936 thank you. If you check the playlist there’s a few videos where I built up the forces and a little of my motivation etc
Thanks for this report. It's very much appreciated. I could be wrong but did you forget to deduct the difference in casualties in some of the post-melee break tests?
Yes I am sure I did on occasions…. The curse of swapping from Black Powder rules which work the other way!
Very nice. Keep soldiering on...
Cheers I will
Very good battlereport.
Thanks. Mistakes were made but it was still fun
Do you ignore hedges for terrain / concealment purposes (e.g. the first round of crossbow shooting)?
Not generally but you only remove concealed from the firing modification once when firing at open order in cover, then the defender gets +1 to their save for the cover
