Judging by the southward journey and distance, I guessed offhand the popular Black Sea board region - Krasnodar,or Sochi; less likely the port city of Nikolayevsk, or far off Kazan or Saratov. Our goal is one family trip in winter and one in summer but I think since the last family trip in winter Aurora did with me an ice skating video and a Scottish Pub video.

В Геленджике есть прекрасный сафари парк, интересно, посещали ли вы его?) ну и всяких аквапарков там множество, та же "золотая бухта" денёк точно займет для посещения 😁
Кстати, вставка была из подвалов абрау дюрсо - значит отдых точно шёл (идёт) хорошо 😉😁

@@expatamerican3234 хоть в этих подвалах я была всего дважды: подростком и 7 лет назад, они тем не менее оставили неизгладимое впечатление, особенно тысячи пыльных бутылок в косых стойках, где должен был выпадать осадок, и здоровенные бочки) ну и само озеро абрау дюрсо с вечерними фонтанами так же впечатлили) а! Ещё в 17 году там была выставка современных технологий типа виара, дополненной реальности, интерактивных комнат и т.д. Пропуск туда шел в экскурсии приятным бонусом, и так как я с мужем были теми немногими, кто брал билет без дегустации, мы неплохо провели там свободное время)
Так то на черноморском побережье много чего интересного - водопады, пасеки, конные прогулки, фореливые хозяйства, выход в море, долины дольменов, дельфинариумы, океанариумы, пещеры, озеро лотосов и ещё много много всякого, куда можно пойти самим или взять экскурсию (сейчас не знаю, а раньше можно было даже взять экскурсию в Абхазию🤭)))
так что удачного отдыха)) интересно будет потом посмотреть в ваших видео, к чему у вас душа легла и что интересного смогли найти))

Hedgehogs are mad creatures, they eat everything and are some weird genus, very ancient one something akin to dinosaurs or that era in general. There is a lot of them in the south, they roam in the appartment buildings' yards even.

Well, it's quite a usual thing for someone to get in someone's else family and travel like that, or stay overnight in their house, it usually comes from middle/high school even, when they study 5-9 years together every day, or the university years. I once traveled with a friend of mine and his parents in the South by a car even (between the local towns in the South, to where we got separately from different regions) and then we stayed in their appartment and countryside house, when those friend's parents left back home, and stayed overnight in a classmate's parents' house many times during my high school years, a couple of times classmates stayed in our house. It's actually also among the best things in life, when people can and do relatively easy and normally get along with each other at a young age at least.

Your kids seem to be more comfortable speaking Russian than English. We moved to US from Russia when i was 15 and my bother was 9.... I still have a Russian accent when i speak English and my brother has an American accent when he speaks Russian :) I wonder if someone can grow up and be completely fluent/proficient in both. Alex btw has a huge Russian accent to my NYC ear, im not even sure that he grew up in Florida :)

You can ask Igor who is in my Friday video. He would be happy to give you advice. I think there is only one open border and you have to walk across. So you take a train or a bus to the border and then walk across and then you can take another bus to Saint Petersburg where you are then connected to the train system to go anywhere in Russia. I think.
