Hey dude! Cool video. I tried that last year. Its really a great deal to go from A to B, but it also has some disadvantages. The biggest is for sure, that most of the companies expect a very tight schedule. So you have to be on the road and keep driving to make it. I guess in your case it was about 4000 km in 6 days (correct me if I am wrong) and that's a 650 km ride each day, what means at least 7-8 hours behind the wheel. That can be exhausting and not too much time to look around (our experience was that 200-300 km per day is a relaxing balance between driving and resting. But that doesn't work for most of the relocation trips). Second is your travel plan. If your plan is to go from A to B on a certain date, you might find it hard to get exactly that combination. The companies have their plans from where to where the car shall go. So you might being flexible and change your plans to get a deal. Finally, almost all relocation are straight from A to B, means going around or having long term trip isn't available. Best of luck for all!

Yeah for us we were moving and just wanted a fun cheap way to do it. So it worked out soooo good. But yeah there was no way that we would be able to check out some of the sights "off the path". But here is the thing. You can extend your rental for $75 a day. Which if you just got 6 days for 1 dollar each then 75 is still a freakin deal. Especially the Mercedes we had. So yeah. We seriously contemplated it however I had a new job that was ready to start me in Darwin so I was a bit eager to get there and start making some mullah!

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah man it is great for the ride but pretty pressed for time. Personally l would use it as a means to travel between cities not think you are going to stop a bunch along the way. Cheers!

ahh thanks for the info, did you spend your free time exploring the cities or the bush?
and how many hours did you have to drive a day?

Right through the middle so lots of bush. I think we had to drive the most of the day to make it on time but we stopped at 5-6pm everyday and did early starts so at least we enjoyed our evening and about a few hours of daylight.

I lived in two cities Melbourne and Darwin (more like a town). We used the van to move from one end to the other. Although you can always hire extra days to give you extra time at about 75 bucks a day. Which is not bad for the Mercedes van we had. Even if we did two extra days it would of still been a deal.

Crazy I know! Such a sweeeet deal. They have all sorts even RV's. But we wanted something smaller to save gas.

Too much!!! I have some doubts... Is it the company that defines the days of free use? Can I choose the amount of daily? How far in advance can I rent a motorhome relocation? I can find the same day desired, and thus continue traveling renting one at each point ...? I will spend 1 month in Australia. Thanks! 🙏

This is not an ad dude hahaha. I just made a video on something that I thought was cool and I liked the ease of the website when finding a ride (if you don't want to put down your credit card) or to relocate one yourself. I'm pretty sure the website is in the description and you can see for yourself. It really is a dollar a day (some bigger ones are $5). Sometimes they offer fuel but that will be the most of your expenses and that's just a give in. If you go to this website www.coseats.com/campervan-relocation you can take a look at the small print. I'm not sure about the same day but I don't see why not. They need you to take the RV back to it's home so more tourists can rent it! One thing you will notice is you have to match the dates that they need someone to transfer the RV, this might hang you up a bit if you are set on certain locations. The best scenario if you want to discover OZ by relocation vehicle would be to make yourself 100% flexible. You will be able to book at go wherever whenever and you would have the least amount of lag time. In my experience, I found it hard to see the sites on such a short time of span that they give you so for around $75 bucks a day you can add a few days giving you some time to explore. Still if you add it all up it would be cheaper that way then to book the whole trip without the relocation discount. So if I was to do it again I would add days for sure. Here is our budget breakdown on paper done by my girlfriend. Maybe it is easier to find the answers that you are looking for whereintheworldisnina.com/how-to-campervan-relocation-australia/
