But if you dont want to stuck in traffic in the tri-cities of Cebu, Mandaue and Lapu-lapu for 2hours, then the CCLEX will be a great alternative route especially if you are travelling from the south to the airport. Yes, it will be expensive but it'll at least ease up the traffic in Lapu-lapu and also shorten the travel time. Just think positive.
